Article Marketing: Traffic Building Through Article Marketing

 

Article marketing is one of the oldest and most reliable methods of getting traffic to your website.

While there are probably more ways to produce articles, I'm going to only present three methods that I've seen consistently used for bringing traffic to your website. The three ways to produce articles to use to market products online include:

-         Write the articles yourself

-         Hire a ghostwriter to do the work for you

-         Use a piece of software to produce scraped/spam content



Write the articles yourself 

This is perhaps one of the most used, most cost effective methods of producing copy. It only costs you your time, but money-wise there is no outlay. Unless, you either can't write, don't have time to write or just plain don't want to write articles and posts.

Many individuals that own and operate a business website implement the use of articles in order to market the goods and/or services that they provide known to the world. Articles have been viewed as an effective and easy method of advertising. However, there are many people that are quite intimidated by writing. For these individuals, it is often difficult to get past the fear of writing due to their own self doubt. However, for those who have made it past this stage, they now realize that composing an effective article for a website is quite easy.

Hire a ghostwriter 

Easy to do, just go over to one of the Renta-places like Rentacoder, Elance and the like and there are tons of freelancers waiting and able to take on your writing job. They are, however, going to charge a fee and you will have to through an elimination process to find a good writer who speaks English as their first language. They are there and you can find them; it will just take a bit of time. Check their ratings and previous jobs accomplished to find a good writer. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

Spam The World With Scraped, Useless Content 

Not the canned meat, but the pages of dreck you find on the Net

We don't want to do this. It is annoying, useless and inconvenient to visitors. People will hate you; if they can find you, they will berate you.

If you write articles yourself . . . 

Use a format that will get you the best results.

- You want to create credible, interesting information of between 400-500 words long. You don't need to write a novel to get people to read your copy.

- Ask yourself, why are you writing this. Then answer the question. Present a problem and solve it.

- Follow the basic rules for creating an article.

- Work on writing a great title that will attract your readers

- Put together a decent Author's Bio. You are considered an author if you write a blog.

- Avoid being long winded or presenting something that is either plagiarized or false.
