Article Troll - The New Article Submission Site for Increased Web Traffic

Ok, maybe you won't dominate the Internet, but you CAN leverage ArticleTroll.com's unique system to drive traffic to your website by submitting article and RSS feed sites and promoting your own sites all while giving the actual author's of original content the recognition they deserve.

What is ArticleTroll.com?

ArticleTroll.com is a repository for articles and RSS feeds, but instead of posting the text of the article, Article Troll keeps track of the actual websites on which the content appears. In this way, Article Troll can organize articles and RSS feeds across the Internet and still give credit where credit is due.

Why Should I Use It?

There are several reasons for using Article Troll.

First, lets say you find a cool article. You can bookmark it and hope someone finds it on one of your social bookmarking websites amongst all the lolcats, online games and goofy pictures, or you can go to ArticleTroll.com, write up a little description for it and save the link in a database devoted only to useful informative articles by professionals and those who know enough to write a good article on a topic - maybe even you.

Also, when you submit an article link (whether it's yours or someone else's) you can also submit a "Troll Link". The Troll Link is cool because it allows you to submit a link to YOUR content as a reward for submitting a link for someone else's cool content. You can even link your own article content as an article link, and then your main article page or home page for the Troll Link. The Troll Link doesn't even have to be related content.

The Benefit? An author gets an inbound link to promote their article, and you get an inbound link to promote your website. Everyone's happy.

Since only links are submitted, and articles are placed on their original sites there's no stealing, no plagiarism, no copyright issues and no duplicate content. Just happy, happy backlinks.

As Article Troll populates with good, professional articles, it will become a great resource for doing research. Unlike most article sites, where you may get a profile for an author, with Article Troll you get the actual source, and make it easier to contact the author in case you need more material (be sure to ask nicely if you're doing research).

Article Troll and Squidoo

Article Troll works great with Squidoo! Any given lens is an expert's forum on a particular topic. Any one of your lenses, or a friend's lenses, makes for a great article link because you have content you have created on a subject and/or you have links and sources for other articles on the subject. It's a treasure trove for researchers.

For the Troll Link, enter a lens you've developed that is parallel to your friend's link, or better still, if you submit your own lens as the article link, submit your lensmaster page as the Troll Link. This way, people can view your lens, and when they come back, they can view your personal page which has all of your lenses on it. Do this for every lens you have in the right section and you open yourself to tons of traffic potential.

How to Submit Links To Article Troll

Submitting links is fast and easy. Submitting links is free and you don't have to register or login, so you can go right to the Submit page to enter an article.
  1. Click the Submit an Article link at the top of any page on the site.
  2. The Article Submission Form will appear. Under Article Title, enter the name of the article you are submitting. The title will become the link and transfer link juice for whatever keywords are in the title. If you are submitting your own articles, and your titles aren't keyword optimized, you may want to play with them first.
  3. Under Synopsis of Article, write a brief description about what the article covers. You don't have to go long, but be exact and descriptive.
  4. Link to Article: Enter the url where the article resides. The folks at Article Troll have already entered the http:// for you.
  5. Category and Suggest a Category - The Category is a dropdown menu where you can pick a subcategory for any category where you want the link to be listed. Select a subcategory. If you don't see a category/subcategory in the menu that you like, enter a new one in the Suggest a Category box.
  6. Now comes the cool part - Troll Link. Whether the article is yours or not, enter a link for something you want to promote. It can be your own related or unrelated website, blog or RSS Feed, it can be the article page from which the individual article came, or the main page from which the article came. There's no limit to where you can send the Troll Link, and it can be for you or someone else, but it has to follow the rules set aside in the FAQ.
  7. Finally, you have to describe the Troll Link. Just like with the article link, make sure you are descriptive of your article, site, blog or feed so people know where they are going. Use descriptive keywords because the Description will be the link to the content.
  8. All of the info is entered to make a submission. Click the Submit Article button at the bottom of the page. The article will be submitted for editing/categorization, and the submission form will refresh, allowing you to enter another article link.
  9. Enter more links or return to the home page to search for articles.

What If I Don't Have Any Articles To Submit?

That's the great thing about ArticleTroll! If you haven't written any articles or your site content is not informative in a particular way (your business website, your rambling blog, whatever) you can borrow an article link from somewhere else (just find a cool article somewhere on an article site), link it and write a nice title for it so they get credit, and then use the Troll Link for your website. Easy!

Most importantly, you aren't duplicating anyone's content, they get a nice backlink and so do you!

Pretty informative Lens JHFSEO! I like the concept of "trolling" for articles, sort of like trolling for fish. :-)

I'm heading over there now, to check them out.
