Artist's Universe: An Artist Community Online

Artists community is a place where artists can come together and share their work; the fruits of their labors with other artists from all different mediums.

Whether they be painters sharing photos of their work and looking for feedback, sculptors, photographers, weavers, ceramicists, musicians, writers, poets or playwrights all who pursue any kind of creative endeavor may want to meet with their fellow artists and share community. Many artists work in isolation in their studios creating their works of art, but in their down time they may be searching for an artist community where they can unwind and share ideas, inspiration and encouragement with their fellow artists.

Online artists community is a way that artists can come together from all over the world and be inspired by, learn from and give inspiration to othe artists. These communities provide an unprecedented oppportunity for collaboration among artists. A painter in New York City can join an artists community and sign in and browse the work of a sculptor in Vienna, or a weaver in Sydney or listen to music by a harpist in Tokyo. The Internet has removed the barrier of distance and now rather than having to travel to these places, we can simply look at their profile and see their handiwork.

Artists who are just starting out and who are looking for exposure for their work and their ideas might consider joining an artists community like artists universe and setting up their profile. Uploading pictures of their work and maybe even videos of them in action creating their work is a good way to gain some attention.

Creating a blog is a great way for artists to establish themselves and become known. Their is a blogging component in artists universe that is free and easy to use. An artist can create a public blog on blogger.com or wordpress.com and create links in their artists universe blog to their main blog. This way they can gain exposure within the artists community and on their more public blog.

Starting or joining converstations in the forum and including a link back to your blog is another way to increase the number of visitors that come to your blog. If they like what they find, then they may even share the link to your blog with their friends.
