All About me and my art
"I see nature as a beautifully painted portrait. My art is my way to show it." Whittaker
Throughout my life I have lived all over Australia and have seen many different places before moving to where I currently live in Bundaberg Queensland.
An award winning Artist, I paint using whichever tools feel right to portray the emotion of the piece and my art is shown in many Queensland and Melbourne homes.
The inspiration for my art comes from many sources, such as nature, dreams, my own imagination and the life I have lived.

Garden of the Faerie

This painting was inspired by a beautiful bird bath bathed in afternoon light that I happened to chance upon on one of my many walks exploring my new neighbourhood. I used the tonal approach for this painting and it was designed just to be an impressionist piece, however a bit of Picasso (an artist I much admire) seems to have crept in.
Desert Night
A moonlit dune in the mists of darkness.
This painting was inspired by a digitally fiddled with photo that a friend showed me. The photo had two moons in it but when I tried it in my painting it didn't work so I changed it to just the one moon.
Desert Storm

This painting was actually done as a commission for a guy in Adelaide, South Australia. As a person who loved the desert, he requested a version of Tropical Dream with the desert in place of the ocean. He loved the painting I came up with.
