My boys really enjoyed this project once they got started. The kit even includes the materials to make your own black ink which they then used in their paintings.

After one session of practice with the brush and paints, my fourteen year old son was able to follow the directions in the book to complete this painting. He really liked the results. I liked that it gave step by step instructions since this was a new art medium for our family.I highly recommend getting the kit above.
