Art is everywhere - travelling down the highway is usually a good time to just enjoy the view of art in a different setting: on billboards, bikes, trucks, cafés, and biceps...

here's my favorite collection of "art happenings" on the road

Road Art

interesting art on the way there

just my favorite collection of things i've seen while travelling from here to there - online and offline:
Bikes and Bikers
Welcome to the Road Art Collection. Men, women and their machines... what could be better? Well, discovering the true nature of life and world peace no doubt... but that's for another album someday. In the meantime......... here's a little Road Art.
The master of all Street Painters - Kurt Wenner
If you haven't seen this guy's art on the road yet, it's time to get enlightened - eye popping skill of 3d art, drawn/painted on the sidewalk. Truly incredible!
Joe Bell - custom paint for your bicycle?
Not sure why anyone would spend money repainting a bicycle - but i guess there's a market for everything.
Maybe my daughter wants to have her disney princess bike upgraded to a flaming inferno bike - maybe that will give her a better "biker attitude".
Painted Peds? well of course...
with higher gas prices, it just might be cheaper to customize your shoes instead - head turning for sure, but not really in a good way, i think...
Art on the virtual highway
Don't have time to travel in real life? Use your mouse instead to find some great art - it might just fit that empty wall in your fifth Wheel to enhance your next trip!
this site displays fine art by contemporary artists - directly from their studios, sold by the artists themselves with no middleman involved...
Mark Jenkins: Street Installations
Street installations by Mark Jenkins.Very cool stuff - one of my new favorites!

None

Mack - The Greatest Name in Trucks: Mack Trucks
Mack Trucks are what you see rumbling down the interstate - a true american icon!

None

Find your own piece of road art with wheels
A great place to find a vintage piece of metal art - old Chevy Trucks.
(loads a bit slow, but there are some beautiful trucks there...)
Banksy
paintings in town - some very interesting artwork

Giant Dog Creation- a hotel!

Check out the huge dog - supposedly it will be turned into a small flea-condo of sorts, sleeps 6 people...but it's still under construction.
A fun idea anyway - located in Cottonwood, ID (between Lewiston and Grangeville)
Beagle Hotel - it's huge!

Art Cars - Cars as Art

Cars gone wild and whacky - some very interesting Car creations to be seen here...
Art Cars are in a class all their own - now, if only the doors of museums were larger so we could preserve all this stuff. I think there will be some pretty interesting scientific papers written a few thousand years from now when they unearth these rides again...

Tape people in D.C. - cool artist Mark Jenkins

Have a look at this guy's installations in D.C. - lots of fun and very cool...

Dirty Car? Art Material!

If you've ever had a filthy car from driving down dusty roads, you've most likely resisted the temptation to wipe your finger across it (or not - depending on your willpower...) - this guy here is the epitomy of low willpower when it comes to creating in the dust - he makes the dust come alive with art.
