Crazy About Crafts
Actually, its crafts that help me keep my sanity (as I am homebound with a very sick mother). I went to the Manhattan School of Printing (now closed) in the shadow of the WTC. Silkscreening and Photo-Offset were the courses I took there, and I loved it. I also took a 2 week Black and White Photography course at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh (CAPS program). Rubber stamping, papermaking, candle & soap making, airbrush, tie dye and katazome (like silkscreening but with a resist instead of ink).
In October of 2002 I bought my G3 iBook (HAL) loaded with Photoshop and Illustrator, then bought a digital camera shortly thereafter. I was amazed at how many really cool things you could do with the click of a button. Stuff that could take hours (if not days), now was possible and at warp speed too.

- Art Center College of Design
- Art Center College of Design's South Campus has received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, making it one of the only buildings with such distinction in the city of Pasadena. From its inception, Art Center intended the building to be a marriage of architectural innovation, sustainability and energy conservation, and technological advancement.
- ImageKind.com
- This site works great with Flickr and other photo-sharing online communities. There's also a chance to make money selling your art with their frames. It's pretty cool.
