An artist study scrapbook is a fun, creative activity to showcase what your child has learned about a painting or an artist.

The Scrapbook

I used an inexpensive 12x12 scrapbook that I got from the Dollar Tree for this project. It works well and didn't cost a lot of money.

Title Of Page

I used my computer to make a fancy title for the page, but you could also use stickers, die cut letters or even hand write it.

New Text with BIG Picture

Drawing

I added a drawing that my little one made of the picture we were studying. I then added a copy of the original painting with it. I got my copy from the back of a calender, but some other places you can get pictures from are old books, post cards, the internet (print them out)or some places sell small versions of artist's prints.

The Big Picture

Here is the full 2 page spread from out art study of Sunflowers by Vincent Van Gogh. You can use normal srapbooking embellishments to jazz up the pages. Have fun with it!!! It will be a treasure that your child will enjoy going back to look at.

Things You Can Add To Scrapbook...

Notebooking Pages
Here is a great report page made by one of my friends and she has also added a couple frames that your child can draw his/ her own picture in.
