Born in Perth, Western Australia, Rolf moved to London at the age
of twenty-two, financing himself through exhibitions of his work held
in Australia. Rolf is very well known in the U.K. as he used to be a bit of an Institution on television, with talk shows while doing a painting that would last untill the show was over and you would have to work out what it was he was actually painting, with great results. He has been known to also make records.
Did you know that Rolf has also had a couple of No 1 records,
in the U.K. including his hilarious take on the "Led Zeppelin" classic,
stairway to Heaven

Rolf has been awarded the CBE, is a member of the Order of
Australia and has won many awards for his work in the
entertainment industry. Recently he was made an honorary member
of the Royal Society of British Artists. Rolf Harris has even painted the Queen ,
and as far as we are aware she was very pleased with the results.

Jack Vettriano, another giant of the U.K. artworld.
Born in Fife, Scotland in 1951, Jack Vettriano has emerged from
the unlikely background of an early working life in the
Scottish coalfields to become one of Britain's best known
contemporary artists; he is entirely self taught. His work
first came to public prominence at the Royal Scottish
Academy open exhibition in 1988. Since then there have
been sell out exhibitions in Edinburgh, London, Hong
Kong, Johannesburg and New York.
In April 2004, his painting The
Singing Butler was sold at Sotheby's for in excess of
£700,000 a record breaking price for a painting by a
Scottish artist.

As one of the most eminent landscape artists in Europe John is internationally acknowledged as a master of execution and represents a formidable presence on the international art scene.
