Arwen Evenstar
Originally Arwen was barely in the Lord of the Rings story, but Peter Jackson beefed up her role in the movies. She helps rescue Frodo, and we get to see some romantic scenes with her and Aragorn. All these extras enraged some Tolkien fans and delighted others.
Three Reasons to Love Arwen
- She dresses nice. Arwen always looks classy in those flowing gowns of velvet and silk.
- She's devoted. Though she knows the bleak future that awaits her, she gives up immortality just to be with the man she loves. Hers is a story of loyalty and sacrifice.
- She can enchant rivers. Comes in handy when the Nazgul are chasing you!

Arwen Undómiel is a character in J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium. She appears in his best-known novel, The Lord of the Rings, usually published in three volumes. Arwen is one of the Half-elven who lived during the Third Age.
