As Seen On TV Products I Am Embarrassed To Want

Is It So Wrong To Want Something As Seen On TV?

I am not ashamed to admit I love television. I am not even ashamed to admit I sometimes choose to watch commercials. I am, however, rather ashamed at how easily I can be convinced I need something that I managed to survive my entire life without.

Is it just me? Or are you equally well manipulated by sales pitches?

Miyashi Massage Pillow

This one made me laugh the first time I saw it. Blame it on the weird hypnotic style target animation in the pillow. The massaging fingers were really creepy. I will forgive them because this pillow looks awesome. I had a massaging pillow that unfortunately had to be plugged in. Odds are I would even use it to massage my feet without changing the cover before letting it touch my head. Wait, I don't think I should have admitted that....

Roll-a-Lotion Applicator

I hate applying lotion. It makes my hands all greasy and it is so hard to get that one spot in the middle of my back. When I saw this, I thought there may be hope for me yet. I could even motivate myself enough to put on sunscreen when I leave the house.

Not sure if I buy the massage part, but that wasn't the selling point to me. It's the fact I could potentially put on lotion and immediately pick up something slippery!

The Turbo Snake

Years ago, a plumber suggested to me that I try removing hair from my drain by using a bent Q-Tip. It works well, except for the length of the average Q-Tip. If I were smarter, I would have realized that a pipe cleaner would work *far* better before I saw this commercial. But I didn't. Instead, I realized this was a much more effective solution than the one I had.

The Slipper Genie

Too bad I didn't think of this all those times I nearly fell on my face slipping on a rug. The best part of this is that no matter how silly you look prancing around your house "cleaning", the slippers look equally silly.

I'm not embarrassed to say I own a few of these products myself. The Chef Basket is awesome! I've dropped a few bucks at the "As Seen on TV" section at Fry's Electronics. It's the hot ticket for Christmas stocking stuffers.

Great lens! I'm embarrassed to admit how many "as seen on TV" products I've tried. I have a PedEgg, too, but it does actually work. I'm fascinated by gadgets, and I guess I buy them in hope that they'll work as promised. Sometimes they do! Nice job on this lens!

There are so many interesting ads.
I check the reviews on the internet, which is fun in itself.
    Good topic.

Cute lens! I work in a store that sells a lot of these items. You're not the only one that gets convinced by a sales pitch. I won't tell you how much of this stuff we actually have people buy at work.
