But as all savvy entrepreneurs know, creating a booming business requires more than just the right people - the right opportunity needs to presents itself.
In 2007, Norton was asked to sit on the board of directors for a company that had harnessed the powerful technology of Redox Signaling. After some time, Norton and Pack purchased the technology that would one day result in ASEA.
Norton and Pack rolled up their sleeves and got to work. The Redox Signaling technology was improved and the stabilized Redox Signaling molecules were bottled. Informal research demonstrated early claims that ASEA improved physical health and mental acuity.
For their independent, third-party validation they commissioned Dr. Gary L. Samuelson, Ph.D. an atomic/medical physicist, to do testing and research. Once they knew they had a powerful product on their hands, Norton and Pack explored different business models for distribution.
Norton and Pack met with a pharmaceutical company and convinced the company of the potential of ASEA, but Norton and Pack did not want to give up the rights to the amazing technology in which they had invested so much. They thought of marketing ASEA through traditional retail channels, but decided that having ASEA on cluttered retail shelves did not do justice to this truly unique product.
"We knew people wouldn't understand everything ASEA could do for them and their health without an explanation or a personal story," Norton says. "So we started looking into direct sales as an option. We knew it would be the fastest and most effective way to bring ASEA to the world."
Ironically, neither Norton nor Pack had experience with network marketing. Because of this, Norton and Pack were able to approach direct sales with a fresh perspective. They wanted to reinvent network marketing and infuse it with the principles and business fundamentals they had mastered in the corporate world. They brought in a seasoned corporate team with a wealth of industry experience to get them up to speed. Direct sales veterans also came on board to build a solid foundation for ASEA to grow upon.
With an all-star team in place and a category-creating product in their hands, they started spreading the word about ASEA and its ability to change people's health.
"We want ASEA to bring a level of class and integrity to the industry that has never been seen before," Pack says.
A Different Direct Sales Approach
The network marketing industry is filled with workshops and self-development seminars, which are not cheap and not always effective.
