    Just returned home and wanted to say we had a blast. Brevard is a wonderful town. The campsite and grounds are well groomed. The bathhouse is clean and the people friendly as well. One caution though, sites L (which was ours) and others on that side of the map are down the hill. Its' a real pain up and down the hill. I would not stay at those site again. They way they are cut into the hilside makes me think they would flood as well in a rain. Other than that? Thumbs up! the hot tub was a plus after a 10 mile trek.

    The Brevard area is lovely indeed - and Ash Grove Resort is beautiful. I enjoyed your super pictures and love those wheelbarrows! What a great idea!

    I haven't been camping in 15 years, I think. It was always a fun thing to do with the family. Ash Grove Resort Camp sounds like a nice place to spend the weekend for sure. :)

    You sure made me hungry for camping here...one of my favorite things to do...and I love rustic camping but do love the modern amenities near by! You certainly selAsh Grove with your wonderful review! Very invitingly done my dear!

    What a beautiful campsite, and you described it so well I feel as if I've been there. We used to do a lot of camping when our children were young, and I grew up camping with my family, so enjoyed hearing about this wonderful campsite. We almost moved to Brevard, NC a few years ago, and it is such a beautiful area. 5*

    Looks and sounds great. I always marvel at the number of people willing to stay at those little "campgrouns" they build along the interstate. I've heard people say they go there and spend a few days. I don't get it. Give me the sights, sounds, and smells of nature.
