Welcome to the Ashbury Neighbors website
Our subdivision, located in unincorporated Dekalb County is comprised of 50 homes with the average home having been occupied by the current owner for approximately 7 1/2 years. We have community events, such as multi-family yard sales and "Friday Flamingo" parties during the summer. The Friday Flamingos are very popular but very casual times to relax in the driveway of a home in the community and get to know your neighbors better and build great relationships.

- New Dekalb County Water Ordinance
- Did you know that Dekalb county recently enacted an ordinance stating that anyone buying a home (or renting one in which the water service will be in their own name) built after 1993 MUST meet certain plumbing requirements before water service can be turned on?
The requirements are as follows:
Toilets - 1.6 GPF (Gallons Per Flush) maximum
Urinals - 1.0 GPF max
Showerheads - 2.5 GPM (Gallons Per Minute) max
Lavatory faucets - 2.0 GPM max
Kitchen faucets - 2.2 GPM max
Apparently the belief is that homeowners will fill their tubs to the desired level regardless of the GPM of the faucet, so there does not seem to be any restriction on tub faucets. Click this link to read more (and verify the information shown) - Dekalb County Toilet Retrofit Rebate
- If you have toilets in your home installed prior to 1993, you can apply for a rebate from Dekalb County when you replace them with new, low-flow toilets.
- Dekalb Water Certificate of Compliance
- This is the certificate of compliance required to satisfy the ordinance referenced above. This certificate must be completed and signed before new water service can be established.
