People visit Asheville, NC for many reasons. Beautiful weather, the Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the stunning Asheville art.
This hip little town has a ton of it. Galleries, artists, events, fairs, festivals, and studio's are all over the place. There are all sorts of ways to look at beautiful things.
Come check it out. Pick a nice day in the spring or fall and come stroll around. We try to avoid pretension here in these hills, so take your time and soak it all in.
Asheville is a great weekend town. You can stroll around most of downtown in two days. Take a road trip-it's only about 3.5hrs. to Atlanta- and spend the weekend strolling around. Eat at a local restaurant and visit the art galleries.
If you can do three days, that's even better, you can go for a ride on the Blue Ridge, or visit one of the surrounding towns like Black Mountain, a mini Asheville.
