Komodo Dragons in Indonesia

Komodo National Park is a fascinating place, with barren, desolate features and the rare, slow lumbering giant lizards that most people go there to see. These endangered animals live on a small group of islands between Sumbawa and Flores in the Indonesian archipelago. The two biggest islands in the National Park are Komodo and Rinca.
The dragons, which are a kind of monitor lizard, grow up to 10 feet long and can move surprisingly fast, easily out running a human. They wander freely around the islands and can even swim between them, but so far only one tourist has been eaten, although a few of the villagers have had injuries.
These huge monitor lizards only live on this small cluster of islands and although there are other big monitors elsewhere in the world, none are as impressive as these ten foot long powerful beasts, especially when viewed on these desolate prehistoric islands.

Borneo Jungle Adventure

Borneo is a wonderful place to go for wildlife photography. The wide variety of primates make excellent subjects for photographs, but the lighting is difficult in the jungles and the monkeys tend to be high up in the canopy, making long lenses essential. If you are using film, you will need hugh ASA film a lot of the time. For digital photography a good quality DSLR would be required.
Here is my artlicle about my experiences in the rain forests of borneo including a selection of the photographs:

Australia

Australia's unique flora, fauna and landscapes make it a fantastic destination for any wildlife and nature enthusiast, whether you are a keen hiker or just enjoy driving while viewing beautiful scenery. For people with less interest in nature and the outdoors there is also the culture of the major cities, aborigine art and culture and the beaches or diving.
This article is about the vertical route through Australia, going north from Sydney to Darwin via the Red Centre; tips about where to go, things to see and some photographs.
Route: Sydney, fly to Alice Springs, drive to Uluru (Ayres Rock) in the "Red Centre" and fly to Darwin for a bit of crocodile spotting in Kakadu.

Hotels in India
India is a huge, fascinating country, with a long and interesting history and a wonderful variety of architectural and natural attractions. It would take many months of traveling to comprehensively explore India, but it is also possible to get a good insight into some of the history and culture in just two weeks tour of northern India, visiting some of the popular and famous attractions. There are many stunningly extravagant palaces which have been converted into luxury hotels which are interesting to visit in their own right, but make splendid places to stay while touring. This article is about my travel recommendations for northern India, from my experiences of vacations and business in India, with particular emphasis on some of the fantastic marharaga's palaces that are now some of the best hotels in the world.

Indian Tiger Safari

Ranthambore National Park has been a tiger reserve since Project Tiger started in 1972 and was formerly the hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur in Eastern Rajasthan. It is now one of the best places to see Tigers in India, although a sighting is far from guaranteed, as I found out. There is also a lot of other flora and fauna to see and wonderful luxurious campsites in which to stay.

Exploring China

China is a fascinating place for a vacation. It is developing fast with some cities, such as Shanghai and Beijing very modern while others are still traditional and apparently unchanged for centuries. It is a country of contrast, with some wonderful sights such as the Great Wall and Terracotta Army. This article is all about these and some more obscure places that I visited on my very extensive itinerary.

Thailand

Thailand is a wonderful vacation destination with amazing sights from the architectural beauty and lively nightlife of Bangkok to the jungles and trekking opportunities near Chang Mai and beach resorts on the many islands - the most famous of which is probably Ko Samui.

- I love giraffes. The Smithsonian magazine had a nice feature on them a few months ago. They are amazing creatures.
There is something prehistoric (and scary) about Komodos. :)
I think an Asian adventure would be great fun.
