My Connection

Once upon a time, probably in the late seventies, my wife and I sat at a banquet table with Isaac Asimov and Jean Auel (it was before Jean was famous).  It was a Portland, Oregon Mensa meeting.

Isaac was the guest of honor but was relatively quiet and unassuming compared to some of the others at the table who tried to be impressively intelligent.  It put us off Mensa.

    Thanks for this lens! I love Isaac after reading his autobiographies, and many of his stories and books. While I love his fiction, I learned a ton from his nonfiction-and not just the science books. He wrote on many topics in easy to read language, and it's unfortunate that they can't all still be in print. 5 stars and a fave-can't wait to watch the videos...
