Introducing... My Cat!
She's crazy but we love her...
Gracie was a ferrel cat whom my friend found in a hole under someone's basement. She kept one of the kittens and my husband and I kept Gracie. The other three were given to good homes. She was very young when we got her, barely old enough to be away from her mom and she was so tiny!We made it through kittenhood, barely. She was a the wildest cat I've ever had. My fat old cat Zues never got a moments rest. Everything was a toy to her. She climbed curtains, attacked feet and knocked lots of stuff over. Finally, she got a little older a settled down a little. She is still very playful but has learned not to be so rough when playing with people. She loves us but is very shy around strangers.
She is very spoiled though. My husband and I don't have any kids yet so Gracie and Zues are our furkids. They get more gifts at Christmas than we do. Gracie's third birthday is coming up in June and I think she wants one of those window perches so that she can watch the birds outside.
My fave links
- Our Photobucket link
- This is our Photobucket website. There are lots of pics of Gracie and Zues on there under PETS.
- My husband's music site
- My husband, Jeremy Mayle is a musician and this is his site. You can listen to his music or download some songs. There are also links to some other sites that include his music.
- PETA's website
- This is the official PETA website. I am a member and I also signed up for the Action Alerts newsletter. If you sign up, they will send you a newsletter that tells you about specific animal cruelty cases that they are working on and it gives you the chance to contact the people in question to tell them how you feel. It really makes a difference, check it out!
- ASPCA website
- This is the official website of the ASPCA. I also love this organization and am a member. They do so much to help end animal suffering. There are also a lot of useful tips on keeping your pet healthy and safe.
- Doris Day Animal League website
- This is the official Doris Day Animal League website. I'm new to this charity but it seems like a worthwhile cause- protecting horses from being slaughtered for human consumption overseas.
- Protect Seals website
- This is an organization that is dedicated to stopping the slaughter of baby seals in Canada. The poor defenseless baby seals are clubbed to death every year for their fur. It is really sad. You can help by boycotting all Canadian seafood until their government agrees to stop the killing.
- Our Cafepress page
- This is a site which has a couple of things for sale that my husband made. There is a calender of our pets, including our parents pets, a book of the lyrics to my husband's songs, and his new CD will be on there soon. Also, if you go to cafepress.com and search for Jeremy Mayle, you will find a couple of his older CDs.
- Our auctions
- If you go to ebay.com and search for hannahbelle under search for seller you will see our auctions. There is a wide variety of merchandise there and new auctions are added everyday. Check it out!
