Eddie and Nacho
actually, those are just their short names
Their full names are Edgar Houdini (the black one) and Zelda Nacho (the tabby). They were adopted at the same time, but they're about a year apart in age. Nevertheless, they get along like brother and sister. And they are spoiled rotten. True to his name, Edgar can swipe most anything silently, and disappear in a flash. And Nacho is a jumper, and a slobbery kisser.
They were adopted from King Street Cats in Alexandria, Virginia - I wholeheartedly recommend it - you can browse some of their cats on petfinder.com.

Things You Should Know About Owning Cats and Kittens
- If you are adopting a kitten, it's a good idea to get more than one cat. Kittens need lots of entertainment and affection, and things like work, school, and housekeeping will get in the way of allowing you to provide all the emotional attention your new kitten needs. Another cat or kitten can help a lot!
- Today's general rule is that cats should not be allowed outdoors. Their life expectancy almost doubles if they are kept inside. Of course it's important to provide them with toys and space for plenty of indoor exercise.
- Spaying and neutering is no longer an option; it's a necessity, even if you only have one cat. A female in heat throws horrible tantrums and attracts outdoor males that can spray your home, and a non-neutered male may do anything to find a nearby female in heat, not to mention spraying inside your home for other reasons.
- A happy cat will be a wonderful addition to your family, and will bring a smile to your face when you need it most!
