Pixie - My Loveable Chow Chow

A Rags to Riches Story

How cute am I? I'm a 6-year-old Chow Chow/Chinese Shar-Pei/German Shepherd mix who almost died at a kill shelter when I was just 6 months old. Then, one lucky day I was rescued by a no-kill shelter where I met my new mom and dad and have been the star of the house ever since. I'm such an easy-going lovable mutt that I don't even mind sharing the attention with my three doggie brothers and sisters and my three feline sisters (that's a lot of fur!) Mom has put a lot of time into teaching me to be the best dog on the planet and now I am an A+ obedience student and a certified Therapy Dog. Boy do I love it when I get to make people happy!! I definitely have a mug that melts hearts. I can easily score a juicy piece of steak just by making puppy eyes at mom and dad. Everyone says I am the prettiest dog around so I am trying to launch my modeling career. If you need a pretty face to get the job done, you can see me posted on www.dogactorsguild.com. Just search for talent in New Jersey!

My favorite place to nap is on the big sofa of course, but I'll take the chair or the ottoman just as well. If someone is in my seat - WATCH OUT!!! I'll give them a flash of my pretty eyeliner eyes and off they'll go to a not-so-comfy spot on the floor after warming up my seat! After a nice long nap, I LOVE to romp in the snow in wintertime. I could just stay out there for hours.

I know how lucky I am to have my forever home, especially when there are so many other shelter dogs who don't have a home. I don't understand why, we're the best kind of dog to have since we are so grateful to be saved. Everyone should rescue a shelter dog!
