The Life and Times of A Bird
Hi, I am Kiko. I am a Catahoula Leopard Dog. I know, I know, very few have ever heard of this breed. That is what makes me so intriguing, darlings!! I live in the Southern United States with my mom and dad and fursister Josie. My mom calls me a supermodel, but in reality I am just a goofy, happy, loving and clumsy sweetheart! My true personality is revealed by my nickname, Bird. Birdy Bird, Birdemous, Bird Brain. All these are mentioned when speaking of me. I'm somewhat offended by that last, but you'll have to judge for yourself. I LOVE my mom, treats, playfighting with Josie, sleeping on the bed at night, and barking! I am afraid of thunderstorms, the sound of rain, squeaky toys, alarms, loud noises--oh, heck, ANY sudden noise can give me the shivers and quakes!! Otherwise I am happy-go-lucky!! - PETA stands for People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals. But did you know that PETA routinely kills thousands of dogs and cats each year? They believe that owning pets is equal to owning slaves. To 'save' animals from this horrible fate, they take adoptable dogs and cats from animal shelters, hospitals, or private owners and illegally kill them. They say that that they will try to find homes, but in most cases the animals are killed immediately--without ever being offered for adoption! Surprised? I was too. This link will take you to a site where you can read for yourself about the activities PETA doesn't want you to know about.
