Introducing... My Pet!
Floyd is an American Bulldog/BullMastiff Mix that my husband and I adopted from Eglin Pet Welfare, a no-kill animal shelter. Floyd came to the shelter as an unclaimed stray. Floyd has been at this shelter for over 3 years. When we saw him, it was love at first site. He is massive! Which did scare me at first, but it turns out that he is the biggest sweetheart! Floyd is 100% deaf and I am working with him on sign language. He possibly has elbow and shoulder dysplasia and for a big dog this can pose a major problem. Especially weighing in at just over 100 lbs. Floyd became the shelters mascot for awhile attending all of the fundraising and promotional events to benefit the shelter. Now that we have adopted him, it is still important to us to make sure that he continues with his cameo appearances. Top 5 Things You Should Know About...
Floyd
- When he sleeps, he lays on his back, legs up in the air, and he snores really loud
- He is completely deaf so sometimes if a bird flies over him, the shadow will make him jump
- He has been the mascot for Eglin Pet Welfare for a little over 3 years
- He has his own full size bed indoors and outdoors he has an XL Dog Igloo that he just adores
- He drools just like the dog off of Turner and Hooch. When he shakes his head, slobbergoes everywhere. I love it!
