Because every dog deserves a home

Not every dog in need of a forever home is a mongrel. Just about every breed has an organization devoted to rescuing its own - and its "wannabes." People devoted to their breeds work for the welfare of all dogs - because they all deserve "forever homes." Golly Gear donates 10% of profits to rescue organizations.

Havanese

Havanese Rescue Inc. (HRI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed for the charitable purposes of rescuing purebred Havanese and Havanese mixes which are homeless, or soon-to-be-homeless, including those found in animal shelters or similar facilities and those relinquished by their owners. HRI also focuses on education of the public regarding puppy mills and responsible dog ownership including spay/neutering, training and humane care of Havanese and other pets.

Italian Greyhound Rescue

IG Rescue is a service provided for Italian Greyhounds that have been abandoned at animal shelters, taken from abusive homes or surrendered to Rescue due to the death or divorce of the former owner. Occasionally, dogs are turned over to Rescue because the owner can no longer keep the dog and the dog was acquired from a source to which it cannot be returned.

IG Rescue members foster these orphans in their homes, where their health and temperament are evaluated. All dogs are taken for a veterinary check-up: vaccinations are updated, the animal is neutered/spayed and, if necessary, its teeth are cleaned. Each Italian Greyhound is evaluated so that it can be placed in a home suitable to both the dog and new owners.

Maltese Rescue

The American Maltese Association is the National AKC recognized parent breed club for Maltese. The AMA began a National Rescue Program for Maltese in 1995. Volunteers that support our breed rescue program consist of both members and non-members who share a love for the breed and a commitment to ensure unwanted, homeless Maltese are placed in warm, loving homes. In addition to adoption and foster services, we can provide assistance and recommendations to Maltese owners. In many cases we can assist with behavioral problems that might have otherwise turned into a future homeless situation.

Manchester Terrier Rescue

Our rescue group is part of the American Manchester Terrier Club. We take in purebred Manchester Terriers that are abandoned in shelters or surrendered by their owners. We provide medical care such as vaccinations, worming, heartworm testing and altering for each dog. Each dog is placed in a loving foster home, evaluated and started on training if needed. We then place them into new homes based on the suitability of the home and the dog.

Miniature Pinscher Rescue

At Min Pin Rescue we believe no healthy dog should ever be destroyed and that every dog should have a chance to lead a happy and healthy life in a loving home.
There are lots of ways to choose a dog - we think rehoming is the best one. Friends of Penny minpin rescue works with you to match your needs to the needs of dogs. We know that choosing the dog that's right for you leads to happy people and happy dogs.

Papillon Rescue

PCA Rescue accepts purebred papillons regardless of age, health or temperament. Our job is to ensure that all members of our beloved breed are able to live out their lives in a stable, healthful and loving environment.

Each rescued papillon is treated with special care. They are evaluated by a veterinarian for common health issues, given required medical care and spayed or neutered. Our foster care system is one of our greatest assets. When our papillons are cared for in a loving home environment by experienced volunteers we are better able to evaluate temperament and special needs. Great care is taken in determining the type of "forever" home that would suit each best.

Pekingese Rescue

The Pekingese Charitable Foundation was founded by the Pekingese Club of America. The goal of the organization is to foster health research on topics relevant to the Pekingese, and to provide rescue services for homeless Pekingese dogs throughout the United States.

Pug Rescue

Pug rescue groups are "grass roots" based organizations that have a common cause, and operate independently from one another. Because the Internet is not based upon geography, we offer referrals to other related groups, and work as a team.

Silky Terrier Rescue

At Silky Terrier Rescue, we list all of the silky terriers that we know about who are in need of homes. These silkys might be in a shelter, in the Silky Terrier Club of America Rescue program, or in another rescue program.

Toy Fox Terrier Rescue

There will always be a need to find good homes for Toy Fox Terriers. Not all of these dogs will be rescued from a shelter or an abusive situation. Most of the time it is simply a matter of finding a home when the present owner cannot continue to keep the dog.

Rescue is an undertaking that can only succeed with everyone's participation. Surely we all want the same thing for these little dogs that we love so much.

Yorkshire Terrier Rescue

The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America is "unconditionally dedicated to Yorkies."

The Society was formed to alleviate the injustices animals faced then, and we continue to battle cruelty today. Whether it's saving a pet who has been accidentally poisoned, fighting to pass humane laws, rescuing animals from abuse or sharing resources wi

We at Squidoo passionately believe in creating new ways to support good causes online. By making a donation to ASPCA from this page, you are sending money directly to that organization, in whatever amount you want. We don't touch it. We don't even see it. The author of this page doesn't either. And if you made it this far, thanks for caring.
