Because every dog deserves a home
Not every dog in need of a forever home is a mongrel. Just about every breed has an organization devoted to rescuing its own - and its "wannabes." People devoted to their breeds work for the welfare of all dogs - because they all deserve "forever homes." Golly Gear donates 10% of profits to rescue organizations.

HRI also focuses on education of the public regarding puppy mills and responsible dog ownership including spay/neutering, training and humane care of Havanese and other pets. Italian Greyhound Rescue
IG Rescue is a service provided for Italian Greyhounds that have been abandoned at animal shelters, taken from abusive homes or surrendered to Rescue due to the death or divorce of the former owner. Occasionally, dogs are turned over to Rescue because the owner can no longer keep the dog and the dog was acquired from a source to which it cannot be returned.IG Rescue members foster these orphans in their homes, where their health and temperament are evaluated. All dogs are taken for a veterinary check-up: vaccinations are updated, the animal is neutered/spayed and, if necessary, its teeth are cleaned. Each Italian Greyhound is evaluated so that it can be placed in a home suitable to both the dog and new owners.
