Thunder Paw Akitas

I rescued both of my Akitas & they are both pure bred. They were both about 11 weeks when I got them and the saying is true, "Once you've been owned by an Akita you'll never be owned by another breed again."

KeeDaeCo Akita is my famle. Her name in Japanese means "Pretty Girl Akita" aka Sissy or Sissa Bear. She is blk/brn&wht in color with a big fluffy tail. She weighs 100 lbs and is the major protector of our household. She gets very upset when one of us isn't home and will stare out the window until everyone comes home. I also call her the "Akita Police" Whenever I come home with bags from the store....she has to stick her head in every bag to see what's in it before I can even get in the kitchen. I have to take everything out of the bag and let her investigate the items for herself and tell her it's OK before she is happy & goes an lays down. Anyone who is owned by an Akita can tell you that they have this "Akita Dance" Sissy will spin around and slap her paws on your feet or she will spin around and then just stop really quick and have her front end down on the floor and her back end sticking up in the air and slap her feet on the floor then she'll start talking. She's my rock in life & is always there! I couldn't make it through the day without both my Akitas!

Kaminari Yotsuashi Akita is my male. His name in Japaneses means: "Thunder Paw Akita" aka Arie for short or Bubba Bear. Arie's a BEAUTIFUL brown and white 'Pinto' and weighs 142 lbs. He is the biggest teddy bear. He's a big "Mama's boy too! He also carries around a baby with a blankie. He sleeps with his baby & he will even cover it with his blankie at night. Arie is not the typical male Akita in the sence that he is very shy and he has never shown the typical male aggressiveness eihter. He is by far the most sweetest male dog I have ever been around in my life. He just LOVES EVERYONE! He is very special to me because of who he is but he also has heart makings in several places on his body including the double heart marking on his right side. The marking looks like the "Desilu" double heart from the I Love Lucy Show. He's was just meant to be a big lover I guess!

Anyone with Akitas knows that it's a little hard to find a pet bed that will accomodate the size of an Akita....so mine have a queen size mattress with a hand made quilt comforter and they take up the whole mattress too! Do your part in being the solution not the problem, go out and RESCUE!!
