For years, people and companies belonged to professional and trade associations because they thought they were supposed to. Associations responded by giving them an annual conference, a magazine, and lots of seemingly endless committee meetings.
Well, the world is different today (duh), and nobody joins an association because they're supposed to. They participate in communities that give them value. Problem is, too many "old-school" associations are still offering the same old stuff.
Here we'll pull together links and content that examine new ways of thinking (and doing) about association leadership, marketing, communications and meetings.
