I find that progressive rock or new age music seems to level things out for me personally. I like the idea of the shamanic drums too. It is important to keep searching until you find the path for you as you certainly will. It is not a matter of faith or belief or in being some sort of saint. It is a matter of persistence and dedication plus a little desire and courage. Good flying to us all!

I think I do Astral Projection, but partially. Thing is sometimes when sleeping, my body becomes stiff, unable to move a muscle. I get scared so much... ( So terrifying)... I hear vibrations in my ears. On April, I came to be aware of Astral Projection. And when the above thing happens, I try to push myself out of my body but in vain... :(

Ive tried astral projecting and im scared ill just fall asleep with no effect of the binaural beats cause its happend before, ive also tried relaxation methods and nothing seems to work, any help?
  • Steven Narbonne May 5, 2012 @ 7:53 pm | delete
Guy, try the old meditation technique to combat sleepiness by sitting in a more upright position, rather than laying down. Command your subconsious not to fall asleep or become drowsy but if you feel sleep coming on, do breath work to combat the feeling. Be specific in where you want to go while projecting, rather than just "going where it takes you." Hope this helps. Good journeying!
  • Rose May 25, 2012 @ 8:19 pm | delete
try sitting up or slightly reclined in a comfy chair with a light blanket. Meditating and relaxing lowers with slow breathing while listening to the binaural beats, theres a ton of free apps and download. When i first started at night time id always fall asleep

Its a crazy good feeling! I have learned to accept and intensify the vibrations (my wife and I call it the helicopter) when I am aware of them and everytime I do that good things happen! A few things I wonder about. One time I felt the helicopter intensified it and then felt myself getting up (as expected) Well I of course didn't stop myslef as this is the goal but this time once I rolled off the couch I fell FAST and for a long while. It was just like being on a long rollercoaster. I KNEW I was ok so I kept falling but it was pretty spooky. Landed with no problems in a town (long dream edit) any Ideas on why that happened?

And two. I have asthma so I weaze when I sleep. I use this to remind myself of this reality because I can hear it in the backround of the dream. Thoughts on thar? Good thing or bad? Idk but I am having fun exploring :) email me at cowboyzqna@gmail.com if you would like. Dream on! so I kept reminding

I'm 15 and have always been into 'paranormal' things, such as this one. I live in Belgium and i gotta say, people look down on other people who are into these kind of things.. I've astral projected a few times when i was a little kid, and I can still remember it very clearly. I lived above this store, and my house was 'haunted' maybe idk, i've experienced some strange sthings there and actually everywhere i go to. One time, when I was sleeping, I felt like something had lifted me up and took me trough my window. It had left me floating in the air, going trough the window of the store beneath me. I went into the appartment beneath mine, and looked around. And ofcours, i woke up. I've read about lucid dreaming yesterday and it said you have to look at your hands a few times a day and ask yourself 'am I dreaming?' and in course of time, you'll also do this when you are dreaming. I only tried it yesterday and it almost worked! I remembered my dreams very clear, as if it had really happened to me, even though i was asleep. I'm going to try it again today, or i'll try to AP, i don't know yet, the fear i experience with APing is to high to fully succeed i guess
Anyways, good luck to all of you xoxo

The very first time I heard about this was when I started to watch the movie INSIDIOUS. At first I thought that it was impossible. But then I have this friend and I told him to watch the movie and I found out that he was also into astral projection. From then on, I have always been interested in doing astral projection ever since he told me that it was real and he was able to do it. In fact, he is my inspiration and the reason why I want to try it out so badly, since he lives from another country and I want to try if I can visit him. I've been trying and practicing for almost like a week before, but I keep failing. And a few days ago, I started to do it again and sometimes I can feel that my body is somewhat vibrating but every time I get to that stage, I freak out and lose my concentration, and sometimes I just have so many distractions around haha. But I'm not stopping and this is actually just the beginning. I'm planning to buy books and read more about it.

I know it takes times, but I'm sure I'll eventually be able to astral project and travel in the astral plane and visit my friend!:)

I've been trying to astral project every night now, for about a month. Well one morning I woke up at 6:00 and went to get a snack, and i was surprised when I got back to my bed the clock said 6:20 but it had only felt like 5 minutes. I laid down, and instantly something caught my attention. My body was vibrating, but not physically, and there was a loud ringing in my ears. This had reminded me of the pre-astral projection portion. So I tried the rope method, and didnt get out of my body. Then I just (what felt like) physically lifted my left arm (I was on my stomach) and the moment I lifted my arm, I got pulled up to the ceiling, and I could see my physical body, AND my girlfriend next to me!! The WHOLE room was mirrored, and the walls looked like liquid! It was one of the most amazing experiences of my whole life, and I really wish I could do it again. Ill try again tonight :p But please, give it the benefit of the doubt. I thought AP was bs as first too, but when I started researching it, it began to make sense. And now, since my experience, I am 100% positive that AP is as real as lucid dreaming, or anything else!

the morning is better for begginers, if you sleep for 5-6 hours then wake up have a drink read a book stay up for 5-30 min then go back to sleep much easier you're body is already in the groggy sleep state and your less likely to fall to a deep dreamy sleep right away cause you already slept beforehand

Greeting all Astral Projecters and hopefuls out there. I was reading some comments and would like to say a lot of you have the right ideas, and some not so much. I have recently started Astral Projecting (About 3 weeks of practicing) and have Astral Projected 3 times so far out of about 10 tries. Even the masters are unable to AP 100% of the time so if it doesn't work after many chances do not lose hope just yet!!
The first time I actually made a "Light body split" was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Suddenly I snapped out of the trance state and felt as if I had just woken up from a dream but the room was much dimmer lighted, I have come to believe this is a different realm that our third eye can see. The spirit realm, and it to me is much dimmer than the physical realm but it is not completely black. Anyways I began feeling the intense vibrations from head-to-toe and was thinking very conciously "Yes finally!!" Suddenly the vibrations ceased and I got extremely sad.. Thankfully they began again seconds later and the oddest thought magically popped into my head. It said "Ride a horse!" Instantly I imagined myself riding a invisible spiritual horse out of my physical body. Within seconds the hissing & vibrations stopped and there was an extremely loud crack in my ears. I shot straight up to the ceiling rolling over and looked down. There I saw the bottom half of my torso laying there. I then lost my focus and woke up in my physical body so unfortunately I never had the chance to see the top half of my body.
The second occasion took two rounds of the vibrations as well. This time I didn't go up so high when I left my body but as soon as I left I was shot forward so fast that I could feel the G forces deep within my stomach. I thought to myself "Where the heck am I going" and then the movement stopped. I then thought "Nonono this is what I have been working so hard to do!" Then I was shot forward again and after a couple more seconds of shooting forward (I was experiencing astral blindness so did not see anything yet unfortunately) I thought to myself ok that is enough for this time. I then tried to move my physical body and instantly was pulled back in thru the silver-cord. I woke up once again with a huge smile and an extreme euphoria.
The third experience unfortunately I was not able to leave my body. I had three rounds of the vibrations and for some reason was extremely scared so they went away without making a split this time. This was earlier but I am glad this happened because I was just recently put on a new sleeping medication and for 2 weeks have been worrying it would prevent me from further Astral Projection. Now that I know that is not likely I am trying to rid myself of every last ounce of fear regarding this. Even though I have had these experiences and consider myself a novice but not a beginner at this point it is just naturally scary. That is what holds most people back from ever APing I believe the primal fear it induces. So fear not all you hopefuls out there.. APing is 100% real and 100% possible, you just have to practice and want it for the right reasons.. The biggest suggestion I can make is take whatever measures neccesary to rid yourself ot that instinctive fear it produces and I think you will all get to experience the greatness that this truly brings to ones life.

I have tried both paying my own drum and listening to a recorded repetitive drum beat for astral projection. I found the recording much easier to calm my body to reach for that perfect state that is required to astral project. Thanks for sharing, this is very well presented here!

The Higher frequency ie:528 ^ that you can attain naturally, the easier the transition to getting into the meditative mode which you need to achieve for best results!

    Wow Junne,
In my understanding, the A.P. require a great deal of strong mental power and in order to obtain that you might also require some quietness where you can focus to make a projection. I really envy you if you can make the projection at ease.
In your case, you can easily find out from your grand parents by asking what were they doing at the time (when you visit them by A.P.) and see if it is the same as what you have saw from projection.

I don't now if astral projection is my ability but in my experience I can go from different places like in our school campus,my grand parent's house, and one thing one of my experience in our classroom we were discussing of a lesson I thought I was awake but the teacher just called my name and I felt that I fell from a high building..is this really a astral projection...?

Fear, that's for sure, I have tried waking up in the early hours, and then doing a visualisation, I got close with this, but the trouble was, I got tired and irritable/stressed later in the day.
I tried Robert Bruces' techniques, but I found that it was very time consuming to do all the tactile imaging, and actually feel the energy, so i gave up after about a year.
At the moment I have put it on the back burner, but definitely want to achieve this, I have wanted this for years.

Fear...in that word, all the obstacles I have to the other side can be summed up. I nearly did it last night. My body went numb, my sense of taste and smell were gone, my hearing was going. It was like experiencing the world's scariest and most spectacular orgasm when I nearly crossed. My legs suddenly felt cold and my heart went off like a bomb when I didn't make it. The one impression I got from the near take-off was the feeling of a birth caul stretched over my face and body. It took over an hour for my nerves to settle back down. Advise?

Robert Bruce has been my go to for astral projection since I was 16. I've corresponded with him through YouTube and he is very polite. As for fully projection, I often get to the vibrational/separation stage and start to freak out. Or my thoughts turn to bad ones Ex: I'm like 'don't think about demons' so inevitably I end up thinking about demons and then stop the separation. Ill get it soon, just cant let my thoughts wander so much.

Usually when I try to project I fail. But, I do project spontaneously sometimes when I'm going to sleep. My problem is that once I do project I feel very anxious and have trouble controlling myself - like I just can't move right, probably because I'm so focused on limbs and body parts. Last night I kept "popping out" and then immediately wanted to return to my body. When I'm fully conscious I always think of fabulous places and times that I want to visit when I'm projecting but then when I achieve projection I can't even seem to get across the room. It's very frustrating! Thanks for the info. Perhaps if I can project when I want to i will be more in control :)

Interesting to see that there's actually information for this. I've experienced it before. On rare occasions, even when I was awake..it almost felt like everything around me was fake for a second or two...very weird...

Great lens :) I love the subject matter. I used to be able to smell this spirit/see koala bears vanish from my aussie shampoo bottles. I figured it was the result of someone astral projecting to my house. Weird hunh? Well I live in Canada, so the topic isn't that prevalent here.

you can check out my blog if you'd like to know more about my take on spirituality. I call it Raw Awareness cuz it's all about being totally aware of one's being (is that psychedelic or what? ;) )

I remember once in my childhood I had a OOBE. I was light and floating towards the ceiling, but I got startled and 'snapped' out of it. Since then I have researched Astral projection, and have experienced the signs of being ready for projection on multiple occasions, but I've never been able to take that final step. I'm hopeful from all of the talk on the net, and I'll continue to practice!

I had this wonderful experience one night i was in the sleepy drowsy state, then suddenly my consciousness shifter and it was like i was in the "grand universe" it felt like it was an ultimate reality and the physical world was just a shadow of that bigger reality, and where ever i think of i suddenly find myself at that place, and if i think of something i become it, it was like there is no space between my thoughts the so called reality, then i got up and forgot most of it.

Nice Lens. How long have you been practicing Astral Projection for?
  • AwayFromHome Mar 1, 2010 @ 1:21 pm | delete
This is not an experience but I am sharing my thought with you… I did try projection many many times before and I am still trying but the only thing am really afraid of is the bad visions… some times they are describe the world you will see as a world of lost spirits … (is this true?) beside is it really you can go to a places where you never been before and see a real activities? I read that from a site for a specialist doctor in astral projection and he did so to prove that the experience is real. Thanx

The most difficult part of Astral projection for me is actually getting out of my body once i am in a trance..sometimes it can get a little scary and i feel almost "stuck" in a paralysed state untill i either finally break out or force myself back and out of my trance..still, practice makes perfect i guess so i will carry on trying different techniques to "break out" untill it comes as matter of fact as it does sometimes.

I have astral projected once but it was do to the fact that I somehow woke up after I had already acheived the vibrations in my head and was in the completly relaxed state already. Ever since then I have tried repeatedly to sucessfully astral project and I have been unsucessful each time. It seems that I can relax and feel the engery in my body, and I lightly start to hear the vibrations in my head, and then they go away. I get stuck it seems, right before I am about to project and I dont know how to overcome this.

I need to understand more before I can try to help the spirit in my house. I must protect myself first and I do not know how do you?[in reply to doubt of life]

yea im 15 ive projected since i was 13. It is truly simple this is no more then a simple scam. It doesnt benifit you accept for confidence really all that it does is shift your mind past the theta wave which is where you get headaches. The theta wave is where you project. I would tell you about the realm but it makes it harder to project knowing evrything you can do so peace
