Astronomy jewelry to adorn the neck
A necklace is a fine metal chain used in jewelry to encircle the neck, and can serve as a point to hang decorative items such as charms and pendants.

A pendant is a loose-hanging piece of jewelry, generally attached by a small loop to a necklace, and together they are then often known as a pendant necklace.
A lariat is a long necklace without a clasp, where the ends are crossed over, looped or knotted in a number of different ways. This type of necklace sometimes incorporates a loop at one or both ends to allow it to be worn in the style of a lasso.
The picture to the right provides a guide to the appearance of the various lengths of necklace (by inches) presented below.

A Look at Some Real Astronomical Jewelry
The remains of Supernova 1987A

This beautiful image, taken by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, shows the remains of Supernova 1987A. The supernova event, recorded in February 1987, captured the light from an exploding star in a nearby galaxy called the Large Magellanic Cloud.
The supernova's close proximity to Earth has allowed astronomers an unprecedented opportunity to study such a phenomenon as it evolves. Currently, the supernova debris, which has faded over the years, is brightening.
Debris of Supernova 1987A is beginning to impact the surrounding ring of material which was expelled during the original explosion. These impacts are creating shock waves so powerful that, along with X-rays being produced, they are heating the debris to the point where it glows.

- Really nice lens. I especially love your guide to necklaces.
On internet it is not easy to represent the right way on how the necklace will fall.
