A Brief History of Time
Amazon Price: $7.95 (as of 02/22/2012)![]()
A Brief History of Time: From the Big Bang to Black Holes is a bestselling science book by the brilliant theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking. It explains how scientists are trying to answer questions like where our universe came from, how and why it began, and how it 's going to end. Among the topics covered are gravity, black holes, the Big Bang, the nature of time, and physicists' search for a "theory of everything". While it covers highly complicated subjects, Brief History of Time offers good, clear explanations and is very readable.

- Good job on the lens, really enjoyed it. I got a 90% on the quiz, couldn't remember the primary component of the Martian atmosphere; went with methane. Think I was remembering data about how to rapid terraform Mars and got my chemicals mixed up, ah well.

- The question about the planet with the highest *average* temperature was cleverly phrased. It almost got me. Still, I missed the cosmology questions and only got 7 out of 10.
