Asus Eee Pad Transformer Review

How good is Asus Eee Pad Transformer?

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1 10.1-Inch Tablet (Dock Sold Separately)
Amazon Price: Too low to display

I was shocked to see that together keyboard and tablet provides 15 hours of battery life, both tablet and keyboard accessory come with a separate battery. ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is already an undeniable hit and is one of the Android tablets best sold so far .

And this terminal has every reason to sell well. Under cover hides a dual core Nvidia Tegra 2, the core of so many tablets in those days of dominance of iPhone and Apple with its A5. Whether it's HD movies, editing documents in Google Docs or a cooperative game with graphics more or less modern, Transformer knows everything.

When was the last time you grabbed a laptop screen without being scolded by the owner? Now you can reach Transformer's screen without any problems and any touch experience is welcomed.

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is doing excellent video playback, it has WiFi and HDMI and the body weighs 680 grams. It may be tiring to hold it with one hand, but it's not a killer as Motorola Xoom, which has 100 extra grams.

Returning to the 10.1-inch touchscreen, it supports a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and we are dealing with a widescreen display 30% more dense than its rivals tablets. Attaching the keyboard is done with a simple click and there is a lock button to unlock it from that position. A big plus point for ASUS here, who did a good job, making a keyboard even more friendly than its Eee PC models. Spacing between keys is excellent.

In addition, the tablet is resistant or so it seemed, especially to the point where the device should be the worst: the portion of screen keyboard combination. The same keyboard for tablet has additional 2 USB ports which other terminals don't have. What is strange is that when you want to access applications on the screen by tapping Android menus simply, I find it hard to use keyboard and touchpad to move a cursor to the desired application and then to press the touchpad twice and open the desired program.

Otherwise all well and good, Android is all green, especially Honeycomb, with its lack of dedicated applications. And because nothing is perfect, the tablet has its shortcomings, such as lack of camera flash. Oh, and by the way, it features a front 1.2 megapixels camera and a back 5 megapixels camera.

In addition, you can take some time getting used to the duo tablet keyboard... Do not worry, ASUS Eee Pad Transformer passes class with flying colors because he finally offered an innovative format for Android segment, a huge battery life of the a netbook (15 hours) and a amazing price/hardware ratio.
