Why We Chose an Asus 1005HA Mini Notebook/Netbook

Step one in the process was to look at consumer reports. One of the models they rated highly was the Asus 1005HA. Since I was taking a week-long trip to Idaho our time-line for getting it was accelerated. Normally we like to shop around and find the best deal. This time we went to Best Buy. When I went to their web site I clicked the most popular and guess what came up? The Asus 1055A, how could we go wrong? So we went to the store and picked up our new mini notebook, which just happened to be on sale. We skipped the ones that the Geek Squad touched first saving us 50 dollars. We prefer a different antivirus program which I'll share latter. We bought the 4g SD chip and a case bundled for $340.00

* The mouse pad area has bumps. He likes this tactile effect as he can tell where to put his finger without having to look.
* Keyboard Layout, has large lettering and bright clear icons.
* There's a snap to the keys so you know you've hit the key
* The power button is easy to find and in a good location
* The system icons are at the bottom, away from the glare of the screen.
* The SD stick goes in flush.
* The location of the 6 pack function keys.
* The battery size is small and the pretty blue light shows when it's receiving power.
