Is atheism considered as one of the "religions", as a category? Would make sense right? Nice lens.

Atheism is really nothing more than a label used to separate oneself from a particular belief, so it shouldn't be considered as a religion. Everyone is an atheist to some extent: Christians are atheist toward the theist belief of other religions and other religions are atheist toward the theist belief in Christianity.
A non-belief in one particular thing can't really be considered as a categorical definition on par with religion.

Religion's,religious thought etc.were "all created" during man's early period of life on this planet & for the most part don't pass the smell test because they cannot pass a rigid logical nor scientific means of testing their truths as such & therefore I tend to be skeptical of their authenticity as well as their entire motivations as to why they were created to begin with.I can say that Religion as well as other things were created during man's early years but some of those things (such as laws of physics Isaac Newton etc. IE: E=MC2) have indeed passed the smell test but others have not & have yet to be given total scientific scrutiny.Lookup "The Illusion of Immortality" on Amazon & read it if U want an Historical perspective on religion & religious thought. -
Thanks for giving us a bird's eye view of Atheism & how it came to be. Frankly speaking, some of us are still naive about this thing and your lens have made a good justification about it! Hope to read more of your lenses regarding this! Also would like to share to you where to find cheap side tear checks . Hope you get to visit the site some time! -
