The Atkins Diet had been named after Dr. Robert Atkins. This diet program advises controlling carbohydrate intake for rapid weight reduction.

How it works?

The first two weeks of the program is known as the 'induction' process. It is called the Atkins Diet Phase 1. In this stage, dieters must limit their carbohydrate intake to only 20 grams per day. They are not permitted to eat high-carbohydrate foods and vegetables like milk, fruits, grains, cereals, breads, potatoes or peas.   • Poultry

  • Seafood

  • Eggs

After the induction period, dieters can gradually increase their carbohydrate intake. The long-term carbohydrate consumption diet should not exceed more than 90 grams per day. The carbohydrate reduction forces the body to use its own fats to provide energy needed by the system. In this way, it reduces the existing body fat and cuts down weight.
