Atlanta Race Track Information

The Atlanta Race Track is the seventh SuperSpeedway, (a paved facility of one mile or more,) built to play host to a Cup race. Only three others of the original seven are still in operation. Darlington Raceway, Daytona International Speedway and Charlotte (now Lowe's) Motor Speedway.
Sitting atop the Winners Grandstand is a public suite called Club One. Limited to just 1,000 occupants, the exclusive club offers a climate controlled view of the entire Atlanta track as well as a rooftop sight and sound observation deck.
While running for governor of Georgia, Jimmy Carter, an avid race fan and former ticket vendor at the Atlanta race track in the '60s, promised a barbecue dinner at the Governor's mansion if he won. He kept that promise, then improved on it by inviting the racing community to another cookout in 1978 at the White House.
There are designated "family" sections in the grandstands; if you're seated there, you cannot bring alcohol. All other sections of the Atlanta Race Track allow alcohol. Coolers may be brought into an Atlanta race, but they must be no larger than 14x14x14. No glass containers are allowed.
