How to Jumpstart Your Network Marketing Lead Generation

Ann Sieg, the author of The Renegade Network Marketer, has just released a dynamic new eBook called The Attraction Marketer's Manifesto. If you're a fan of Ann's work and The Renegade System, then you've probably already read this book... several times.

In this eBook she addresses these questions:

  • Are you confused about what it takes to get started online?
  • Want to attract new reps but don't know how?
  • Want to prosper during the economic crisis?
  • How to dominate the competition
  • How to stop spending money and finally start making some

This 75-page report is chock full of great information, whether you're a newbie trying to make your first profit or an online veteran wanting to multiply your results.

Don't Just Survive... Thrive

What Recession?

Those of you who have already grabbed a network marketing opportunity are poised for success during the current economic crisis. History is repeating itself once again.

As more and more people lose their jobs or worry that they might lose their jobs, they are looking to start their own businesses. As a business owner you are in charge of your own destiny. You're no longer subject to the whims of the corporation.

In fact, Peter Drucker says "The corporation as we know it is unlikely to survive the next 25 years." It's the perfect time to be starting a home-based business... Paul Zane Pilzer's "Perfect Storm."

You might be attracted to MLM and network marketing because of the leverage and passive income. Whether you have a network marketing business or not, the principles of Attraction Marketing will serve you well... if you implement them. It's that "take action" thing.

Your First 30 Days in Network Marketing

Your Online Network Marketing Business

What should you do in your first 30 days in network marketing to insure success? First of all you should decide to have an online network marketing business.

What's an online business?

It simply means establishing a presence for yourself and your business on the internet. So how do you go about doing that?

When you have a brick and mortar business, you simply hang the "open for business" sign out front. Is that enough to bring customers through the front door in droves?

No, you must advertise and let your target market know you exist and you're open for business. Similarly, for an online business you must also advertise to make your target market aware of your business. It's actually much easier in the online world.

Back to our question... what should you do to establish a presence for your business online?

Your first 30 days in network marketing should involve the following steps:

  1. Create a blog
This is the equivalent of brick and mortar... it's your "online real estate."
  2. Set up a Facebook account
This is a social marketing forum for reconnecting with everyone in your warm market... as well as new folks you meet.
  3. Drive traffic to your blog
Write a monthly newsletter highlighting items you've posted on your blog and link to your blog.
  4. Find affiliate marketing programs to sell
This is your fastest path to cash... have something widely interesting and useful to market.

Once you've established your online network marketing business, you'll want to start implementing marketing plans to attract prospects. Your blog is your "base" that you will drive all your prospects to.

Your blog is a friendly place for potential prospects to learn more about you so you can start developing a relationship with them. Just because you're online doesn't mean it's 100% automated with no relationships.

On the contrary! You may have heard the expression "high tech, high touch." This refers to the fact that when using online marketing tools, much of the prospecting process is automated.

That creates a void which you must fill in order to develop the relationship of trust. No sale ever takes place without trust.

If you're new to online marketing, this may seem a little intimidating. Actually it's not hard at all. If you can send email, then you have all the computer skills you need.

Your first 30 days in network marketing will determine whether you succeed. Jumpstart your business with network marketing training.

Teaching Sells

Become a Trusted Advisor

The foundation of attraction marketing is giving away information for free. It must be valuable information, not a sales pitch. If the information isn't valuable, then the potential prospect won't give you their contact information.

What kind of information do you provide? If your goal is growing your downline and building your network marketing business, then provide information that teaches your prospects how to build a business. The information that you teach should align with what your target audience is looking for.

This concept seems simple on the surface. And it is... but it's the powerful concept that your business foundation is built upon.

When you have enough useful information out on the internet, you will become recognized as an expert on that topic. When readers are consuming your information, you will have earned their trust.

Once you have earned their trust, they are pre-sold and then you can sell them something. So if you recommend an affiliate product or training program, they are very likely to buy it... because of your endorsement.

You see this with celebrities all the time. If Tiger Woods endorses a line of golf clubs, sales skyrocket... because everyone wants to golf just like he does.

The same will be true for you once you have earned your credibility through teaching valuable information to your prospects. Teaching is your best lead generation tool.

"But I'm Not an Expert"

True, you may not be an expert in the same sense as Ann Sieg, and be able to write a 75-page eBook on Attraction Marketing. However, you know more than your prospects do about the subject.

You only need to be one step ahead of your prospects. If you've already read The Attraction Marketer's Manifesto, then you're a step ahead of someone who hasn't.

You only need to be one step ahead of your prospects to be able to offer them value. You can guide them by sharing the resources that you have used to get where you are. And if they should ask something you don't know, you've got a coach you can access.

Who's your coach? The person who introduced you to attraction marketing or sold you a training program. They are one step ahead of you, so tap into their resources as well.

Staying ahead of your downline will spur you into continuing to educate yourself. The internet is changing so rapidly. What's hot this year will probably be eclipsed by what's hot next year.

There's always a hot new trend to learn so always be expanding your knowledge. James Arthur Ray said "if you're not growing, you're dying."

Credibility Ranking and Recommendation Power

The higher your credibility ranking, the easier it is to pre-sell your prospects. So the higher your perceived credibility, the easier it is to make money.

To generate more leads, increase your credibility ranking. How do you raise your credibility ranking? By providing more educational information.

Each additional article you write increases your credibility. Your credibility ranking will start to "snowball" once you've written 30-50 content pieces.

And there are additional methods you can use to educate your prospects besides writing articles. You can also increase your credibility by producing advanced types of content.

The more difficult your prospect believes the content production process is, the higher your credibility ranking is. Writing a blog would be considered "basic" content by most prospects. On the other hand, creating videos, podcasts, email campaigns or your own website would be considered "advanced" content and provide more credibility "points."

If you want to increase your network marketing lead generation, write more content and/or create more "advanced" types of content.

Niche Specialization

When Less is More

With the current economic crisis, there will be millions more people flocking to the internet looking for ways to make more money. And there will be thousands of network marketers flocking to online marketing to try to capture that market.

If you really want to differentiate yourself, pick a niche. I know this sounds counterintuitive, like leaving money on the table. But just like in Pay-Per-Click marketing, using long tail keywords usually produces a higher clickthrough rate... and a higher conversion rate... meaning you get more bang for your effort.

Rather than targeting everyone who's in or ever has been in network marketing, narrow down your target market. Choose to target only network marketers who are looking for a new network marketing business opportunity. Or you can choose to target only Baby Boomers who are thinking about retirement.

Or maybe you specialize in one particular type of content creation, so you become known as "the Facebook gal" or "the YouTube guy." The key is to stand out from the crowd and differentiate yourself and your message.

Network Marketing Training

Get Educated About Your MLM Business

Yes, this is a business. You don't need to go to business school and get an MBA, but you do need some business education. So schedule some time into your timeline to build a foundation.

What are the elements of your foundation?

First and foremost, decide whether you want to use traditional recruiting methods like friends and family lists, Thursday night hotel meetings and the 3-foot rule. If so, this lens won't help you.

The goal of this lens is to teach you how to use modern prospecting concepts like Attraction Marketing, also known as Reverse Marketing, Relationship Marketing or Information Marketing.

What is Attraction Marketing?

Attraction Marketing is attracting pre-qualified prospects to you... no chasing involved. You attract these prospects by providing something of value to them, for FREE. The key is to provide value and establish a relationship of trust before you ask for a sale.

Usually what you're giving away is valuable information such as an article, a website page or an eBook.

If the potential prospect likes your information, they will be attracted to take some action... sign up for your newsletter or perhaps to contact you for a complimentary consultation. Yes, you offer consultations because you position yourself as a solutions provider, not just a salesperson.

Before you go onto step 2, be sure you've fully educated yourself and have a foundation of knowledge in Attraction Marketing. My favorite Attraction Marketing author is Ann Sieg, the author of The Renegade Network Marketer and The Attraction Marketer's Manifesto. The Manifesto is a 75-page eBook that's chock full of information about becoming a more attractive marketer.

Ann teaches you how to:

  1. Attract high quality leads
  2. Get paid for attracting leads
  3. Earn multiple streams of income
  4. Create your marketing pipeline

Jumpstart your lead generation with network marketing training.
