Too many systems, not enough time.
Don't get side tracked!
The grass is not always greener
I don't mean get out of network marketing, but try a different system. Should I listen to Ann Sieg or Mike Dillard?
I felt that it was taking too long and there had to be a better way.
So I spent my money and my even more valuable time on the network marketing sales letters I came across that caught my attention. Or someone I was networking with would recommend another system and I thought that if it was working for them then it would probably work for me.
I found myself going in circles, jumping from one thing to another.
Then I realized that this was crazy, and that all the network marketing systems were basically the same with only a few different twists on how they accomplished the same thing.
So then I would spend one day working on this system, one day working on that one.
After all, I had paid for these systems, not to mention all the domain names, hosting fees, subscription fees, etc. for the many different lines of business I was now involved with. I was not about to throw all that time and money out the window!
What I found was that instead of going nowhere, I was now going nowhere fast with a big hole in my pocket where my money used to be. I was investing much more on all fronts but my returns were diminishing at the same rate.
SOMEBODY OUT THERE HELP ME! PLEASE!!
So I stopped and stepped back to take a look at what I had done. I took inventory so to speak.
Each system has strengths and weaknesses. Each system has a different feel and style. Each system has taught me something that I didn't know before. Each system has more to teach me. Each system has shown me a different "take" on network marketing. Each system has merit.
OK, so I still believe in everything I bought. Everything seams legit and if I work at any one of them and don't get side tracked I believe I can get my network marketing business off the ground and making money. I even feel that these systems can work together to build that business into something special.
What I really needed to do is pick one to start with, work at that one and only that one until I get it up and running, then branch out.
Don't have unreasonable expectations or get caught up in sales letters that make it sound as if their system will put your business on steroids. Don't feel bad for myself every time someone I network with is making sales.
Keep reminding myself that my day will come. Don't get discouraged. It will happen for me. It just takes time.
I went back to square one. Back to "The Renegade Network Marketer". Only this time instead of trying to do things my way, I am doing things the way they teach me. I am following the system to the end. I am using "The Renegade University" in conjunction with the system. And most importantly I am now investing my time and money on "Ann Sieg's Secret Weapon" to jump start my business instead of spreading myself too thin with multiple systems.
Then and only then will I work on the next system in my arsenal and tie it into what I already have going to jump to the next level.
So take my advice, stay focused, and don't get sidetracked. Pick one thing and stick with it until you make it.
There is only one other thing to remember. If you ever come to the realization that the system you are using is truly not working for you and will never work for you, get rid of it. Turn around, walk away, and don't ever look back. Chalk that up to a learning experience and find a system that works for you. One that feels right.
But always, always, always only work one system at a time.
Take it from someone who knows, that is the only way to make your business grow.

- This is a challenge for most of us - to stay focussed. I was lucky to have found the right business and have success before getting too side tracked!

- This is so true Shelley that it is hard to stay focused with all the distractions. I once heard it said to try one system for one year before moving on to something different.
