How Do They Sponsor So Many People Every Month? 

I'm sure you've seen the ads out there..."Sponsor 5-30 new reps every month". If you're anything like I used to be, you've probably read these ads and rolled your eyes thinking, "Yeah, right. I've been working my tail off, and I can't even find 30 people who will listen to my business presentation in a month, much less who want to join my business." I specifically remember surfing the internet a couple of years ago and reading an ad just like this one.

At that time I knew nothing about attraction marketing, or the importance of stuffing your marketing pipeline full of prospects. My own experience was limited, so my belief level was limited when I heard about people who were sponsoring these types of numbers into their business every month. I did have a reference point for being able to enroll 10 reps into my business in a month because I had had that type of experience before, but the problem was that once I had sponsored all of my family members and friends, my production went way down. Then the people I sponsored would quit, leaving me with the strategy of trying any way I could to get prospects interested in my business. I tried just about all of them...I put fliers up all over the city, placed classified ads in newspapers (not a bad idea if you have an effective marketing plan in place), left "sizzle cards" on tables at restaurants and recruited people I met in public.

I actually ended sponsoring three people I met at Buffalo Wild Wings one Sunday. While my friends were watching sports and eating wings, I was talking to strangers about my business. The three all joined after much follow up, then promptly quit because they probably weren't looking for a business in the first place. They just joined because I had convinced them to join. One of the biggest keys that I have learned from my study of attraction marketing is that you should never waste your time trying to convince someone to join your business. If you have to drag them in, they'll drag you down. It's just not worth it when there is a much better way.

So, are people really sponsoring 5-30 reps a month? I now know that it really is possible. When my wife and I first started learning about attraction marketing, we were thrilled the first time someone we had never even spoken with joined our business. I knew that we were on the right track when we sponsored six people into our business in a month and we had not met with them personally to show them our business presentation at Starbucks, we didn't cold call a hundred leads, and we didn't drag our family members and friends to hotel meetings. In fact, all of these people contacted us to tell us they wanted to join our business, or they went ahead and joined without even talking to us.

Should You Recruit Your Uncle Joe? 

One of the biggest turn-offs people have about the network marketing industry is the somewhat well-deserved stereotype of people running around trying to sell their uninterested family members and friends on the idea of starting their own network marketing business. What most of these well-intentioned network marketers don't realize is that not everyone is a prospect for their business, but they may be a potential product user if they are presented with a product of true value.

Despite what their upline "guru" told them at their local hotel meeting, everybody who walks within a three foot radius of them is NOT a prospect for their business. There is a much more effective way to build your business without having to chase your uninterested family members and friends. That's not to say that you shouldn't keep your eyes open for people who might be right for your business. If your Uncle Joe is a sharp business-minded entrepreneur, then by all means you should expose him to your business. If he happens to be a closed-minded negative person who laughs at your dreams, then guess what? He's not right for your business.

There are actually two conflicting schools of thought about how a network marketing business should be promoted. Some industry experts claim that you should focus on the business opportunity, while others insist that you should lead with your product and build loyal product users who will then become advocates of the company and product they love. My experience leads me to believe that both of these approaches work successfully depending on the target market you are trying to reach. I have seen leaders, who decided to leave one business to go to another, have people follow them without having any concern for what product they would be promoting. People will follow leaders because they want to work with someone who knows what they are doing and can help them succeed. I have also seen people fall in love with a product and become a very successful distributor because they had such a strong belief in the product they were promoting.

You don't want to waste your time trying to "convince" someone you think would be great for your business that they should become involved with your company...there are literally more people in this world who would love to get started in a new business than you could ever possibly reach, so there's no point in spending your valuable time chasing the wrong people. The best thing to do is to make sure that the people you are reaching out to people who want what you are offering. Don't waste your time trying to drag people into your business. Instead of focusing your time trying to convince your negative Uncle Joe to join your business, you should focus your efforts on speaking to people who are already believers in the network marketing business model. Get Free Traffic With Video Marketing 

5 Tips To Help You Get Started With Your Own Video Campaign

If you have been using the internet to build your business or to find information about home-based businesses, then chances are pretty good that you have seen a growing number of videos on You Tube and other similar video sites showing up in the search engine rankings. Many internet marketers have begun to tap into this powerful method of generating free traffic for their websites. If you have been thinking about getting started with your own video marketing campaign, but don't know how to get started, here are five things you need to know to help you get started:

1. Camera - You don't need to have any expensive camera equipment to get started, you can get a fairly inexpensive Flip Camera for around $130 or less. Click here for more information.

2. Editing Software - If you already have a PC, chances are great that you already have the software that you need. Click on the programs list on your computer and locate Windows Movie Maker. This software will allow you to do everything you need to do to edit your videos.

4. Description - Use a short amount of descriptive text for your first paragraph in the description section. On You Tube you can actually include a longer description, so use this space to add information that coincides with your video. When you submit your videos to other video sites that don't allow long descriptions, just use your first paragraph.

5. Links - It is very important to make sure that you include the links to your website in your description. You will want to start off this section with your link as the first thing displayed, then end your description with your
link as well.

Make sure you take the time to set up your title, tags and descriptions with the keywords that you want to target because your video content alone will not be picked up by the search engines.

Choose The Right Network Marketing Team 

They Told Me I Would Make $X If I Joined With Them...

So, you've been looking around at some different network marketing opportunities and you've come across a team who is promising you big money if you join with their team. Well, here's the deal. If you are considering joining a network marketing business, don't get sucked into the trap of believing a bunch of hype about how you will make big money if you join with a team making big promises. It is certainly possible that you could earn some great money, but the problem with people going around making outrageous income claims is that they are misleading and prey on some people's desires to make easy money. If somebody tells you that you will make big money if you join their team, ask for them to give you that promise in writing...they won't do it.

I like to shoot people straight from the beginning, so the people who join my business are the ones who understand that they are going to be working a business, not playing the lottery. I'm not interested in sponsoring people who want something for nothing. We want leaders who are interested in changing their lifestyle and who understand that a business is not a job with a guaranteed paycheck. If you are not a business-minded entrepreneurial type, then what I am about to tell you will probably scare you away, but that's ok. Businesses are not for everyone. Some people would much rather spend their life working for other people who are business owners because they like the comfort of a steady paycheck. If that's you, that's ok. If you are the kind of person who wants more for yourself and your family and wants to get started in their own business, let me share some information with you.

First, contrary to what some other person may have told you, you are not going to be able to just join a business and make easy money. If someone is promising you big money with little effort, run the other way. Second, not only is it possible that you may not make a lot of money if you join a business, it is also a fact that some people will actually lose money when they join a new business. Why I am telling you this information? Because I want people to know the facts before they join my team.

You are not guaranteed to make money if you join a network marketing business, but there are some people who will join and make some very serious money. The people who are willing to work hard and not give up at the first sign of adversity will have a good chance to have the type of success that they desire. One of the reasons that so few people ever earn substantial incomes in network marketing is because they start their businesses with unrealistic expectations about what it will take for them to succeed and then they end up quitting before they give themselves a chance to make it.

If you do decide that you want to get started in a business for yourself, make sure you align yourself with a team that has a system in place along with people who can help you accomplish the goals that you have set for yourself.

Make Money Even If Nobody Joins Your Business 

One of the reasons people don't succeed in network marketing is that they just don't have the money it takes to properly fund a business. While network marketing offers the opportunity for average people like you and me to own our own business, businesses typically do take some money to grow. If you
want to talk to everyone in a three-foot radius, you can do that for free, of course. But if you are like me, and you don't want to do that, or you prefer to purchase leads or build your business on the Internet, you will need a monthly marketing budget. Funded proposals are a terrific mechanism for you to use to start making some advertising money to fund your business. Even if you personally have enough money up front, chances are that someone in your downline won't, and this is how you can teach them how to get their business started off right.

The first obvious question is: What in the heck is a funded proposal?

A funded proposal is the process of selling an inexpensive but useful product on the front end to cover your advertising expenses,and then presenting your business opportunity on the back-end. A funded proposal can help those who may not have the
money to promote their business at first, to make a little extra money so that they can stay in the business long enough to generate enough business to actually see the results of their hard work.
8 Reasons To Have A Funded Proposal

1. Advertising Money. By offering an inexpensive informational product, you will generate money to advertise your business. For those who already have money to advertise, a funded proposal can
reduce your advertising expenses to zero. For those who don't have money to grow their business, you begin generating a cash flow much quicker than you would just marketing your opportunity on the
Internet. (However, if you want to approach your warm market about your opportunity, that is probably the quickest way to generate a positive cash flow).

2. Be a Leader Not a Peddler. With a funded proposal you can posture yourself as a leader/expert, not a pushy salesperson or peddler, like the majority of the other folks in the business. Through an informational product, you are offering them solutions to their problems. Your business is part of that solution. As a result, you begin to build trust and rapport with your prospects before you introduce them to your opportunity.

3. Education. A funded proposal gives you the opportunity to educate yourself and your prospects. Educated leaders are able to provide more value, so they get more prospects. Educated prospects
make far more valuable team members, who eventually become educated leaders. This positive cycle will then repeat itself over and over again.

4. People are always looking for information to solve their problems. This means a never-ending supply of free leads. Want to know how valuable that is? Just ask the guy who is spending $5 or
more to purchase a generic business opportunity lead!

5. Attract Your Target Market. If a person is purchasing a product related to network marketing, you already know two important things about them: 1) They believe in the business model
(which if you've dealt with the "pyramid scheme" objection by prospects, you know what a relief that is). 2) They are a buyer not a tire-kicker. This means that they are far more qualified than the person who clicked a button that said "I want to make
extra money" (which is what you get with typical generic business opportunity leads).

It is for these reasons that network marketers should be your target market. You can't reach your target market through selling your opportunity upfront because that would put them on the
defensive about their product. Instead, you offer them a solution to their business problems. They then look more favorably upon you, and will be more inclined to see what you have to offer.

6. Sponsoring a customer is easier than trying to sponsor a complete stranger. Instead of trying to push the opportunity on a prospect at the beginning, first you sell them an inexpensive
information product filled with valuable advice to help solve their problems. Then, after you've established trust with your customer, they'll be much more inclined to seriously consider your
opportunity.

7. Positive Cash Flow. By having a funded proposal, you teach your own team members how they can get into a positive cash flow faster than just having a high-end product. Marketing a low-priced
informational product first, funds your advertising expenses, which helps get your team members into a positive cash flow. This in turn boosts your team member's confidence. Confident business builders are much more productive than discouraged ones.

8. Make Money Even if People Don't Join Your Business. Even if your prospects don't join your program, you will make money every day by providing them information that is beneficial to them and/or
helps solve a problem they are having. It's the ultimate win- win situation!

To find your funded proposal product, you'll want to find an inexpensive (less than $100) informational product. Make sure that
your product offers a "freebie" or "giveaway" as these are the most successful for getting a prospect's information, which is one of
the main goals in getting a funded proposal: generating leads for free or close to it. You can also look for possibilities in your discussions in forums or on message boards. Here are some suggestions:

Attraction Marketing Never Gets Old 

My wife and I started learning about attraction marketing a little over a year ago. We studied and applied the principles of attraction marketing and even though we believed what we had read would actually start to happen, it's hard to describe how gratifying it was when it really started working. I remember the first day that we had a complete stranger join our business.

My wife called me and was excited to tell me the news of the day. Someone we didn't know had joined our business, and she had called our sponsor to share the news with him. Our sponsor was an old school network marketer who didn't quite understand the concept of what we had been "working" on for the past several weeks. In his defense, from his perspective all he saw was the fact that we had not been attending team meetings or sponsoring anyone into our business. When she called to tell him that we had in fact been "working" and that we had sponsored someone into our business without even talking to them, our sponsor was quick to point out the fact that it was most likely a case of someone accidentally signing up on the wrong person's site and that once they discovered the mistake, the corporate office would correct it. She knew better and made a quick call to welcome our new team member.

She was right, this person had found some of the blog articles that she had written, liked what he read and decided to join on our team. Our sponsor was shocked that we had actually sponsored someone into our business without even talking to them, but he assured us that it was obviously a special circumstance, not a trend that would continue. I'm not sure how many people joined our business in a similar manner before he finally started to see that we were on to something real...maybe the 14th or 15th. Additionally, no matter how many times it happens, it never gets old! Even though we know it will happen again and again, we can't help but act a little surprised each time it does.

Advice I Wish I Had Received 12 Years Ago 

I remember twelve years ago when I made my first real attempt to start building a network marketing business. At the time, I had been working in the corporate world for a little over a year and was in the process of trying to start my own company.

I had become a student of personal development, so when I met a 27 year old millionaire who had already achieved the success I desired, I knew that the smart thing to do was to model his actions and hopefully get the same results. Well, while this is generally very good advice, there are a few other things in the equation that need to be considered.

When a friend of mine told me about this young superstar entrepreneur who had become a millionaire in sixteen months by building a successful network marketing business, I knew I had just found the road map to success that I had been looking for. It turned out that this young guy had made all of his money in a previous company and was now involved with a new start-up company that offered us the chance to be among the first to get in at the "ground floor".

Not knowing what I should be looking for in a company, or what questions I should have been asking, I opted to follow this young "successful leader". After all, he was already a millionaire, driving a Ferrari and Mercedes at the age of 27, and seemed to be an expert at what he was doing.

The day I decided to join this company, I was the epitome of what a lot of industry veterans refer to as "ignorance on fire". I don't remember the exact number for sure, but I believe that on the day that I faxed in my paperwork to join my new company, I also had 17 other applications of people I had already sponsored into the business.

From everything I knew about leveraging the efforts of other people with network marketing, I was sure that I was poised for massive success. I rented rooms to hold our meetings at our local community center, printed invitations, cold called network marketers from other companies, held lunch meetings, made countless three-way calls and invited anyone who would listen to our conference calls.

Everything seemed to be going great for the first month. Then one day, shortly after getting started, I got the news that this new "ground floor opportunity" had already been run into the ground. This company was already out of business in less than one year of doing business. I was upset to say the least.

When I look back on this series of events, I now know that I learned quite a bit from that experience, and I wouldn't change the way things happened because of that. However, there is no need for you to have to go through a similar experience, so I want to share with you some of the things I learned and what I wish someone like me could have told me back then:

1. Even more important than how great a product seems to be, is the quality of the management team of the company you are considering joining. A strong and experienced management team is absolutely crucial to the success of a company. The quality of your company's product is important, but the quality of the management team is crucial. A company can have the greatest product around, but if the management team is clueless, then they won't be around long.

2. Once you are comfortable with the management team that is in place with the company you are considering, one of the most important decisions you will make is the team within the company that you decide to join. You want to be able to find a team that fits your personality and style and will offer the type of training and mentorship that will allow you to constantly improve your level of skill and personal growth.

3. Make sure you know exactly "Why" you want to succeed in a home business. If you have a strong enough "Why" coupled with the system your team uses to build the business, you can achieve massive success. Your "Why" is what will drive you to keep working hard on your goals when things aren't going just the way you expected.

4. Don't worry about jumping into a hot new business just because you can get in on the "ground floor". The sad fact is that most new companies don't succeed, which is why you need to spend time making sure you are comfortable with the competence level of the management team. If a company is truly offering a great opportunity today, then it will likely still be a great opportunity six months or a year down the road.

5. Have fun building your business, or in whatever you decide to do with your life. Life is brief and it is not a trial run...everyday is the real deal, so make the most of it. Before I got to the point in my life where I knew I was doing exactly what I wanted to be doing, I used to struggle with some of things I would read and listen to about achieving success. One of these ideas that challenged me was the following question: "If you were given a check for a million dollars tomorrow, would you change what you are currently doing with your life?" If the answer to this question is yes, then you are in serious jeopardy of wasting the precious time that you have been given in your life.

Linking Twitter to Your Blog & Squidoo Lens 

Once you a have an account set up with Twitter, you can coordinate your account to display your Tweets on a Blogger site or Squidoo lens, as well as Facebook or MySpace pages.

To set this feature up, click on the "Settings" link after you have logged into your Twitter account. On this page you will see a link that states: (You can also add Twitter to your site here). Click on this link to get to the page that will allow you to choose the type of site that you would like to link to your Twitter account. Once you choose which site you want to coordinate with your account, the html code you need to add to your site will be generated.

The Attraction of Attraction Marketing 

As a veteran of "old school" network marketing techniques, I have one word for everyone-HALLELUJAH! My reason for rejoicing stems from my discovery of what is known as "Attraction Marketing".

My experience with old school business-building techniques and those of attraction marketing has caused me to label these two types as "Attraction Marketing" and "Distraction Marketing". Anyone who has ever been shunned from activities with their family members and friends has obviously used Distraction Marketing techniques. Thanks to Attraction Marketing, the days of chasing disinterested prospects and cold calling are over...at least for me.

An old school ,"Distraction Marketing", sales process typically goes something like this: You introduce your family members or friends to your latest business with a great deal of enthusiasm, which is likely to be greeted with a great deal of resistance about nine out of ten times.

That is the ratio that you can expect when using old school network marketing techniques. One out of ten people you talk to will be interested in joining your business, maybe two out of ten, if you are really good. I've known about www.backpage.com for a couple of years. In fact, when I first found out about it I placed quite a few ads on it and even sponsored someone into my business from one of the ads. That's pretty cool considering that it's a free classified ad website. Once it had been around for a while, it began to be overrun with a huge number of ads and I quite spending any time placing ads on it anymore because I didn't think it was worth the time.

I have recently added this free resource back into my internet marketing activities. However, now I am not counting on getting great results from people searching the Back Page website, but rather from people who are using the search engines to find out information about specific keywords. I have found that if I place an ad on the Back Page website using valuable and authoritative content, such as an article relative to specific keywords, the ads are ranking well in the search engines. The best part about this information is how quickly the rankings occur. I recently posted an ad for a competitive keyword that produced 419,000 search results, and within eleven hours my ad was ranked number one.

Attraction Marketing Traffic Tip 

If you want to start generating some targeted traffic to your website, one thing you can do is find high traffic blogs and video channels on sites like YouTube and post comments on them. The key here though is that you don't want to spam a person's site with your comments trying to promote your business opportunity.

Find people who are posting content related to your business, interests or marketing style. Make sure you read or view their content, then offer a valuable comment and mention that you have been teaching the same strategies for a long time too, etc.

Don't post your website and contact information on the post, just let the people who read your comment click on your profile link (Blogger,WordPress, YouTube, etc.) where they can find your information. If people are intrigued by your posts they will click on your profile to find out more about you and will likely respect the fact that you're not just spamming websites with your business opportunity.

Attraction Marketing With Articles 

Write Articles For Free Traffic to Your Site

The way that you will provide valuable information to others is through article writing. Through your articles, you will connect with your reader, and give them information that is far more "real" than the canned marketing materials everyone else is sending them. Remember, your marketing site already takes care of presenting the nuts and bolts of the business. So, in your articles you will share with them some "real" information that explains aspects of your product or business in a more informal manner.

For example, if you are in a travel business, you can write generally about the benefits of owning your own home based travel business, the different methods of earning commission from a travel business, the latest travel industry news, etc.. If you are in a business that sells, for example, a weight loss drink, you can write generally about the need to lose weight, the difficulty in losing weight, etc. (without mentioning the name of your product).

Tips on How to Write An Article:

1. In the first paragraph clearly state what the article is about. In standard journalism you would tell who, what, why, when and where an event is happening. In web articles you oftentimes state a problem, such as "how to get good written materials for your website", and then explain how the article is going to solve the problem "by showing a simple step-by-step approach to writing".

2. Organize your material in a point-wise fashion. Before you begin writing, think of the points that your article is going to cover. You may not necessarily show the points, as I am doing in this article (calling them "tips"), however, for your own outline of the article you should know what you are going to say before you begin writing. Write down these points and then make sure you include them as you begin the writing process.
