Aubade Lingerie and the New Collection of underwear
Ranked #15,837 in Fashion & Beauty, #280,821 overall
Aubade Lingerie - The future of bras, many feminists are still saying that the bra has had its day and that the future will in fact be a braless one without restriction upon the female form fighting back against companies like Aubade that create highly sexual underwear. However, there are a lot of women who are not willing to give up their bras and feel like they would continue to be supported by their bras and to invest in lingerie from companies the major brands Freya, Prima Donna and Aubade. The lingerie companies are hitting back at the idea that their products oppress women, they are suggesting that it is women that are driving the sales because they enjoy wearing the sexy and provocative underwear that Aubade and Gossard are making.

The Big Bra Debate
Why does wearing or not wearing a bra cause such controversy, why do people find it offensive if a woman chooses to go braless surely in a liberal modern society it should be the woman's choice whether or not she would like to wear a bra. However, people's appearance has long been something that society has commented on and felt they had the right to dictate. Even in today's society some work places require women to wear a bra in order to fit in with the dress code, should this really be the case?
Are women fighting back with the need for their body to be accepted for all of its differences and shapes or are women still being encouraged to hate what they see and turn themselves into sexual objects? With there being more imagery and the means to access information in a way that was not previously possible it might be the case that we are moving backwards rather than forwards, fuelled by the highly sexual images of the underwear companies like Aubade.
Does this Modern Woman Exist?
If women are really free and kicking back then why are companies like Aubade, Lejaby and Freya worth a fortune? Who are women wearing bras for, themselves, men or society? Why should a wider society dictate whether or not a woman chooses to wear a specific piece of clothing, if none of the breast is exposed and it is not indecent then who has the right.
Lingerie companies make millions of pounds every year creating alluring and sexy designs that are marketed at women who believe that they have to wear frilly, lacy underwear to feel good about their body.
Magazines perpetuate this image of the nubile young women with a teenage girl's body as the ideal and the 'right' body to have. Is it the sexualisation of women's bodies that is causing such a rift in the way we view breasts and their purpose and what they should behave like. We are so far out of touch with our bodies that we think it is normal to wear uncomfortable restrictive underwear because it is more aesthetically pleasing to do so.
It remains to be seen whether or not the lingerie companies will relinquish their strong grip on the way that women relate to their bodies but let's hope in the future that women reclaim their right to choose.
