I have my own Audio Mastering studio that tries to help out unsigned artists or people with lower budgets. I will master a full album for $79, which is less than most places charge for a single song. Hopefully this helps get some would-be artists in a position to get their music out there though!

At that point in my music life, no one had ever even mentioned mastering to me so I didn't know what it was. Here I am, getting this junk recording that sounds super quiet, really thin, and just plain low budget and I had no idea why.
I had solid equipment and used it correctly. Then I started to research a bit more and discovered the wonderful world of mastering! Once I learned to master my recordings, it brought that sound out of the basement and actually started to sound like something REAL that people would listen to!
Home recording studios and recording projects are getting more and more popular, which thrills me. I think it allows bands/artists a lot more creativity and helps them keep their budget down.
Most bands want to spend whatever money they DO have on good equipment. So, spending a fortune in a studio isn't always an option.
So, once you get that new home recording done...if it doesn't sound quite like those songs you just got off of iTunes, don't worry. Just take a look at Audio Mastering!
