you are doing a fab job. I wasn't aware that there were so many free educational auditory downloads out there.

I like your information. Do you know of any other audio programs for older children? I have expecially had a hard time with finding audio math programs.

A great resource here, Jimmie. By coincidence, I have just started an audio book service for my students. They love it! Thank you for these great suggestions! 5 *'s and a favourite.

Jimmie, this is just wonderful. I was wondering how to complete all the books we still had left on our list this year--Homer took WAY longer than I expected--and I saw your HOTM article, which brought me here. Problem solved! You are such a wonderful resource in the homeschool community. God bless you!

My daughter will listen to a book on audio that she would not even look twice at in the library. We love Librivox and are looking into a program where you can rent audiobooks for a monthly price and send them back for new ones (like Netflix).

This is good stuff for me. My ten-year-old is primarily a kinesthetic and auditory learner.

My eldest son is an auditory learner. It just makes things a lot easier when you realize which type of learner, or mix of types your child is and then you can tailor things to work with them. Lots of great information here as always Jimmie

Thank you for the links. We are so fortunate to be able to start homeschooling my 5 year old so I am happy to have found more ways to "FUN" learning!

Thank you for these wonderful links. I have a daughter with autism spectrum and a speech/lanuage disability that is making it difficult to learn to read, she is 8. So I am always on the lookout for audio teaching.

My homeschooled daughter is a big fan of the Jim Weiss recordings. The amount of knowledge she's been able to glean from listening to his reading of "Story of the World" has made me think more about her learning style and how it differs from my own. Thanks for all the additional suggestions. We will be checking them out!
