Investigative consultant Sherry Moore is blind and stunningly beautiful, with the extraordinary ability to "see" the deceased's last eighteen seconds of memory by touching the corpse. A head injury at age five left her without sight and prevented her from remembering her past. When Sherry discovers she has the sight, she learns to use her gift to help others solve mysteries that only she can tap into.

Serial killer Earl Sykes was never caught for his vicious murders. Instead, a deadly traffic accident landed him in prison. Now almost thirty years later, he returns to the seaside town of Wildwood, New Jersey-and to abducting young female victims for his gruesome games.
Wildwood police lieutenant Kelly O'Shaughnessy is stymied over the disappearance of young women. When an old man's untimely death leads Sherry Moore to Wildwood, O'Shaughnessy's desperation forces her to accept Sherry's help, but not without consequence. As the two women join forces to discover the killer's identity, they unwittingly become the hunted, marching deeper with every step into the monster's lair.

A law enforcement veteran himself, George Shuman packs a realistic style and authentic investigative detail into this taunt tale filled with pulse pounding tension that will send listeners right to the edge.

All The Best, George Bush

Categories : Politics, Autobiography, American, Biographical
Publisher : Simon & Schuster
Author : George Bush
Narrator : George Bush
Length : 6 hours (Abridged)

A Public Figure, A Private Man.

Read by President Bush, with Barbara Bush, Dorothy Bush Koch, Marvin Bush, Neil Bush, George P. Bush and Jonathan Bush

Though reticent in public, George Bush has openly shared his private thoughts in his correspondence throughout his life. Organized chronologically, the volume begins with eighteen-year-old George's letters to his parents during World War II when, at the time he was commissioned, he was the youngest pilot in the Navy. Listeners will gain insights into Bush's career highlights - the oil business, his two terms in Congress, his ambassadorship to the U. N., his service as an envoy in China, his tenure with the Central Intelligence Agency, and of course, the vice presidency, the presidency, and the post-presidency.

A devoted husband, father, and American, his missives include: a love letter to Barbara; a letter to his mother about missing his daughter Robin after her death from leukemia; a letter to his children two weeks before Nixon's resignation; and one written to them just before the beginning of Desert Storm. His writings are remarkable for their candor, humor, and poignancy.

All the Best, George Bush provides a surprisingly intimate and insightful portrayal of the forty-first president of the United States.

Hobbit, The

(Unabridged)

Categories : Classic Literature, Classics, Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Magic
Publisher : HarperCollins Publishers
Author : J. R. R. Tolkien
Narrator : Rob Inglis
Length : 12 hours (Unabridged)

'The Hobbit' is a tale of high adventure, undertaken by a company of dwarves in search of a dragon-guarded gold. A reluctant partner in this quest is Bilbo Baggins, a comfort-loving unambitious hobbit, who surprises even himself by his resourcefulness and skill as a burglar.

Encounters with trolls, goblins, dwarves, elves and giant spiders, conversations with the dragon, Smaug, and a rather unwilling presence at the Battle of Five Armies are just some of the adventures that befall Bilbo.

Bilbo Baggins has taken his place among the ranks of the immortals of children's fiction. Written by Professor Tolkien for his own children, 'The Hobbit' met with instant critical acclaim when published.

Category: Image - :MauritiusCommandAudioBookCassette.JPG|thumb|Cassette recording of Patrick O'Brian's The Mauritius Command read by Patrick Tull

An audiobook is a recording that is primarily of the spoken word as opposed to music. While it is often based on a recording of commercially available printed material, this is not always the case; nor is this required to fit the definition of an audiobook, which is why "audiobook" is one word rather than two. It was not intended to be descriptive of the word "book" but is rather a recorded spoken program in its own right and not necessarily an audio version of a book.

Spoken audio was originally primarily available in school and public libraries and to a lesser extent in music shops. It was not until the 1980s that there began a concerted effort to attract book retailers. As book publishers entered the field of spoken-word publishing, the transition to book retailers carrying audiobooks became commonplace on bookshelves rather than in separate displays.

To put it simply, it is textual content (usually, that of a regular book) spoken and recorded onto a medium such as CDs or cassettes. This makes the content accessible to the blind or illiterate.
