Who is Audrey Rose

My own copy of Audrey Rose (book) is battered and damaged beyond repair due to constant reading (it's one of a select few of books that I constantly re-read over and over again) and I don't think I will ever manage to replace it. However, I do own, now, a copy of the film; the same film that I watched all those years ago at school...

Audrey Rose is a 1977 horror film, allegedly based on real life events, directed by Robert Wise, starring Marsha Mason and Anthony Hopkins. It was based on the novel of the same title by Frank De Felitta. The book had a sequel, For Love of Audrey Rose, which was not filmed.

Harrisburg, PA (UP) - A woman and her young daughter were killed and 2 persons were slightly injured after their cars collided with each other on the Penna. Turnpike during via sudden hail storm.

Police have withheld the identities of the dead woman and child pending notification of relatives.

Born: 1959
Died: 4 August, 1964
Age: 5 years of age.
Circumstances of death: Died as a result of a car crash travelling to Harrisburg on the turnpike. The car skidded in bad weather and collided with a second car. It landed at the bottom of a steep embankment. Audrey Rose died as the result of smoke inhalation and burns.
Rebirth: Died at a little after 8.20 am a few minutes before the birth of Ivy Templeton at New York Hospital.

One memory I had after watching this film at school was me saying to my 'so-called' friends that I thought that it was scary. In response, one of my friends said that I would probably find Mickey Mouse scary, too. Nice friend, huh?
