Real Estate Market Update - Fall 2007
Aurora Real Estate Update
This fall, the biggest trend in our local market is a surplus of inventory. In many subdivisions, there are as many homes on the market right now as have sold in the last year. This points to two things: price reductions and homes being removed from the market. This winter, we should see a lot of "house cleaning" in the market as many homes that remained unsold through 2007 are taken off of the market.One thing that is encouraging this fall is an expected interest rate drop by the federal reserve next week. Any relief to the current stale market conditions is welcome but it will remain to be seen whether this will motivate buyers or if it will be too little too late.
