There's always another wine festival around the corner. Aussies are great lovers of all types of events, sporting, cultural but most of all festivals. There are so many to choose from.
Maybe you are planning a holiday in Australia and would like to catch up on some wine. A convenient way is go to a wine festival, there you can taste wine from dozens of wineries all at once.

Some upcoming wine events
- Bendigo Winemakers Festival
- Held on Easter Sunday, the Bendigo Wine Region's wineries and vineyards get together at the beautiful Castlemaine gardens, accessible by train from Melbourne.
Plenty of shiraz, of course, but lots more to taste and enjoy. - Adelaide Hills Wine Festival
- The Adelaide Hills Wine region has alternative varieties of Pinot Gris, Viognier, Nebbiolo and Zinfandel as well as Trollinger and Lemberger. Crush Festival Sunday 9 March 2008.
- Vinodiversity: Heathcote Wine and Food Festival
- Heathcote's annual wine and food festival is held in October each year.
- Alpine Valleys Gourmet Weekend
- Held in January. Enjoy some of the best of North Eastern Victoria with events in many of the towns and vineyards of this emerging region
- Vinodiversity: Grape Grazing Festival 2007 | Yarra Valley Australia
- This is a long running festival combining all of the familiar ingredients, wine, food, music and fun. Held in February each year.
- Be tempted at Melbourne Food and Wine Festival - March 16-30
- Long lunches, 70 wineries at one cellar door, masterclasses and the International Flour Festival all crammed into two glorious weeks in Melbourne.
- Australian Inland Wine Show
- This event is held annually in Swan Hill during October. Wines from the Murray Darling, the Riverina, the Riverland and Swan Hill Wine Regions are judged and are available for tasting by the public.
- Wine showcases

The Lovedale Long Lunch is a progressive-type lunch where visitors wine and dine their way around the seven participating Lovedale wineries over the weekend enjoying a glass of wine, gourmet food, fabulous music and art. Come for the day or stay the weekend but don't miss this exciting moveable feast.
The participants in the 2008 event are Allandale Winery with Infuzion Restaurant,Cooper Wines with The Cellar Restaurant, Gartelmann with Chez Pok, Wandin Valley Estate with Bel Posto Café/Restaurant, Sandalyn Estate with Red Salt, Warraroong Estate with IL Cacciatore and Emma's Cottage Vineyard with Amanda's Restaurant.
