Good Barbecue
Locations all over town. It is a Texas chain and is known for its smoked turkey, chopped beef, and of course, the sauce. Must have the creamed corn. Its like dessert. Trust me.

Artz Rib House

The name says it all. Get the large order of their country style ribs. Usually has live music as well.

Hole in the wall. Okay briscuit. The ribs were better. Pretty cheap.

Out of Austin Barbecue
Technically not in town, but still worth the trip
18300 FM Rd 1826
Driftwood, TX 78619

Their family-style dining atmosphere is something everyone needs to experience. It is well worth it for you and some friends to load up a cooler full of beer (its BYOB), head down south, and feast for a couple of hours.

Overrated Barbecue in Austin
In my opinion, they just aren't that great, but you can decide for yourself
401 W 2nd Street
Fancy BBQ that isn't bad, just not worth the price.
Stubb's
801 Red River St
Great place to listen to music, not the best place to grab some meat. It could be convenient before a show. I think the Gospel Brunch on Sunday is fantastic, but don't make room in your schedule to eat the barbecue there.
County Line
5204 RR 2222
6500 Bee Cave Rd
Still not my favorite, but I went back and had their beef ribs. Quite tasty. May have to rethink my opinion on this place
Uncle Billy's Brew and Cue
1530 Barton Springs Rd
(512) 476-0100
This is a new place that not only serves bbq but also makes home brew and usually has some live music. The brisket was nothing to spectacular and the sides were disappointing.
