F88 Austeyr
The primary weapon employed by the Australian Army is the F88 Austeyr that is produced in Australia under contact from Steyr Mannlicher . Its is a 5.56mm calibre gas operated bolt action rifle with a bullpup design (action located behind trigger). The are multiple variants and the rifle has been modified from the original weapon first bought from Steyr Mannlicher. The following pictures show the evolution of the Austeyr.
