Collecting Australian Silver Coins

Do you collect stuff? I'm a bit of a Garden Gnome hoarder, but my favourite collection is my Australian Silver Coin collection.

It's not just a hobby but ia good way to invest in something that will grow in value.

Australian Silver coins are made of pure silver. mostly struck in the Perth Mint. We have gold and platinum coins too, highly rated by collectors for the different designs such as the Silver Kangaroo or the Silver Kookaburra coin.

2010 Australian Lunar Series II

Year of the Tiger (2 Ounce Silver Coin) by Perth Mint

Centuries ago, the Chinese invented a calendar based on the lunar (rather than the solar) cycle. There are twelve animals in the Chinese lunar zodiac, each corresponding in sequence to a year rather than a month. In 2010 we celebrate the Year of the Tiger.

This is the third annual release in the new Lunar Series II zodiac program which began in 2008.
