My first trip to the zoo was last year, 2007. It was the best day of my life! It was my 13th birthday and the first animal I saw was the meerkat. Cute, fluffy, intelligent, mischeveous, beautiful creatures. It was love-at-first-sight. Now, I'm totally obsessed, crazy, nuts, addicted, IN LOVE with meerkats! They're the best!!!

We live about 20 minutes' drive from Healesville Sanctuary. It's definitely one of my favourite places to visit. I can recommend the birds of prey in flight show - the Wedge-tailed Eagles are just spectacular birds.

If I had my choice we'd be living in Australia...as of now I'm happy and rooted in Woodland, WA (take a peek at my lens). Loved this virtual tour of your zoos, look forward to the adds as you travel.

Very nice lens, 5***** When I was in Sydney we went to a zoo but I don't remember the name. I know you could hold a Koala. Also saw the Fairy Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, not to be missed.
