Thanks, Seth. Squidoo is a fun and easy way to market books. I'm attracting new readers for Trolley Dodgers and getting the word out for my second novel.

    Best wishes,

I'm not published but wanted to state that I found this lens of great resource value. Will be pushing the boat out as I can certainly see there is a great need. Many Thanks Seth. Clive Anderson...

Nine months or less? That's less time than it takes to have a baby. (Sorry, the lens coverline on the front page of the site ("Write a book in nine months or less") compelled me to click through. Megan is too good.)
  • foovay Jun 7, 2007 @ 7:25 am | delete
got to fave this one and read it over and over. One of these days I'll get my novel back off contract with the ebook publisher who is letting it die and give it another chance

Thanks for all of your help, I will knit you some socks one day in gratitude (odd or matching, your choice- do you like stripey ones?)I may actually figure this marketing thing out because of you!

I've set up two Squidoo lenses -- one to promote my music marketing books and another for my forthcoming "Full-Time Author" title:

    I love Squidoo!

You are mentioned in Chapter 24. I think you will get a kick out of this true story.

Thanks for the tips here. I'm an aspiring author and am always searching for mor ways to sell more books. Love squidoo too!

Thanks for the great ideas! Among my lenses I have one for my first book at "www.squidoo.com/heyranger"
and a personal lens at "www.squidoo.com/jimburnett" along with related content lens.

I am coining a new term "squidbook" and have started my first book on squidoo. Here is my new lens - http://www.squidoo.com/squidbook/ on how to create one.
    Thanks.
  • JimB Feb 10, 2007 @ 10:37 am | delete
Glad I found your site! I'll confirm that a lens about the subject of a book rather than specifically about the book itself can help, too. My National Parks and Monuments lens made the Lens of the Day on Jan 30th and is currently in the top 50 on Squidoo - this is an indirect way to promote a book.
  • throughglasseyes Nov 8, 2006 @ 4:11 pm | delete
Thanks, Squidoo folk, for allowing me space in the internet marketplace. I started with one lens and now have six. Apart from my current books, I have one for the book currently under production which I update with every step along the path to publication.
    Squidoo works for me!
  • Michael_Carey Oct 2, 2006 @ 7:20 am | delete
Book 'im Daniel. Which came first. The lens or the book? Write the book and use the lens to promote it. Or write the lens, and you're forced to write the book. Either way, Seth comes through again with his willingness to freely share from his vast storehouse of wisdom. Thanks Seth.

Thanks, Seth! I have created a lens for my book, Doing the Right Thing and Achieving All Your Goals at the Same Time, and adding lenses to your group, The Best Business Books Known to Mankind.

There are many creative ideas here--not to mention a novel use of a Kewpie doll! Thanks.
  • boswellbaxter Jul 19, 2006 @ 10:49 pm | delete
Thanks for including my lens here!
  • anndouglas Jul 19, 2006 @ 8:03 am | delete
Thanks for this inspiring page. I'm new to Squidoo (I've only been here a week), but I've already put together three lenses -- two about my books and one just for fun). I'm intending to put together a lens that acts as an index to all my online activities -- inspired by one of your lenses, Seth!
