How To Parent And Teach An Autistic Child Is What Me And My Wife Had To Learn!!
We have a 9 year old daughter with autism!! When she was born i was one proud dad! The light of my eye she is and all way's will be !! Then as she started growing we started to notice she was coming along slowly. That's when all the doctor visits and week long stay's at the hospital started.Just for them to tell us (WE DON'T KNOW) typical doctor speech when it come's to Parenting and teaching an autistic children. But they know how to send a bill for there incompetence !! So as time went on her autistic tantrums got worse. The biting ,screaming , cursing and the spitting.
Nothing worse than your baby SPIT in your face and call you a (SOB) !!!!! Then turn right around and tell you sorry and give's you a hug and a kiss. Welcome to Parenting and teaching an autistic children .Yes my daughter was jekyll and hyde!! Because you know it's going to happen again the next time you tell her no.Know i love my daughter! But this is a very hard thing to deal with (VERY HARD). Well we finally got the doc's to give us a good guess . And they said it might be autism.well i got straight online to find something!! At this time there was no info on Parenting and teaching an autistic child. I tried teaching autistic children, how to teach autistic children and the biggest thing i wanted was how to teach your autistic child not to spit.So i kept searching untill i found (THANK YOU GOD). We found it the only guide i will ever use for Parenting and teaching an autistic child! If it wasn't for finding the

"I wish I would have had a tool like this when courtney was first diagnosed with PDD and subsequently autism. What's really great is that parents don't need to start from scratch, instead they can piggy back on the experience of others who have gone before them. Truly a fantastic starting point." If it was not for all the helpfull infomation we found in this guide we would be in padded room's by now!!But with this guide. We found my daughter good side. We found how to understand her better. And how to help her learn life skill's . Instead of being angry and aggressiff all the time.We learn the sign's of her autistic tantrums. And why they are happening at that time (IT IS ALWAY"S SOMETHING DIFFERENT)We also learn how to divert her attention to avoid the tantrums. This guide worked for us we found all the answer's to the questions that we had .And helped us to have a happier more informed day to day life with our autistic child. So if you have ?? about raising a autistic child or need some help with an autistic child .I highly recomend this one.thank you for reading this artical about me and my autistic daughter.

Stop Your Child From Spitting Tip
Once again, I really think this is another attention getter, although....EEEWWW. I have found that if you react in a major way, this only encourages it more. Try to stay calm, pick up the child without debate and put them in their room or in time out if that's what you prefer. Tell them that is unacceptable behavior and you will not allow it to continue. Also, I would make THEM clean it up whether it is just on their face or if the spit hit the ground of God forbid, another person.

What Causes Autism?
The bottom line is, no one knows for sure what causes autism. Most experts will say that autism is probably caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Even those experts, though, do not have a definite answer. For many people, this uncertainty is terribly frustrating. On the plus side, interest in and funding for autism research is on the rise, so new and better information should be forthcoming in the next months and years.
The question of what causes autism is highly controversial. Many people are passionate about the issue, and hold strong beliefs. Books, articles and TV programs have raised awareness -- and heated up the argument. This article provides an overview of different theories, all of which have strong supporters.
Do Vaccines Cause Autism?:
Two theories link autism and vaccines. The first theory suggests that the MMR (Mumps-Measles-Rubella) vaccine may cause intestinal problems leading to the development of autism. The second theory suggests that a mercury-based preservative called thimerosal, used in some vaccines, could be connected to autism. To find out more, read Do Vaccines Cause Autism? and Is Autism on the Rise?.

Is Autism Genetic?
It is likely that autism has a genetic basis of some sort. Many studies have shown that parents from families with autistic members are more likely to have autistic children. It is also the case that many families with one autistic child are at increased risk of having more than one autistic child. To find out more about autism and genetics, read Is Autism Genetic?
Is Autism Caused by Bad Parenting?
No. Dr. Kanner, the man who first identified autism as a unique condition, had the idea that cold "refrigerator" mothers caused autism. He was wrong. Dr. Kanner's misinterpretation of autism created a generation of parents carrying the guilt for their child's disability. Fortunately, our generation is spared that burden.
Is Autism Caused By Atypical Brain Development?:
Some researchers have found differences between the autistic brain and the typical brain. Autistic individuals seem to have larger brains. They also seem to process information differently; in other words, their brains are "wired" differently. Research on this issue is ongoing at The University of Pittsburgh.
Is Autism an Immune Deficiency Problem?
There is some evidence that autism is linked to problems in the immune system. Autistic individuals often have other physical issues related to immune deficiency. Some researchers say they have developed effective treatments based on boosting the immune system. The NIH, however, states that the evidence is not yet strong enough to show a causal relationship.
Is Autism Caused By Food Allergies?
There is some evidence that allergies to certain foods could contribute to autistic symptoms. Most people who hold to this theory feel that gluten (a wheat product) and cassein (a dairy product) are the most signficant culprits. Explore the Autism Institute's website for more on this theory.
Is Autism Caused By Poor Nutrition?
It seems unlikely that malnutrition can cause autism. But megavitamin therapies have been used for many years to treat autistic symptoms. Dr. Bernard Rimland, of the Autism Institute, has been a leader in this area.
So...What DOES Cause Autism?
It seems likely, given the research so far, that several factors combine to cause autism. For example, it may be that certain children are genetically more susceptible to certain types of food allergies, or more likely to react badly to certain environmental toxins. Until we have more definitive answers, though, it seems to make sense to focus more on treatments -- and to support researchers as they learn more about causes.
